Great house in a wooded location!

This house is a great little getaway in the woods of Butler, TN. The hosts are great and we have stayed here many times.

Hideaway stay

Great value for secluded peaceful retreat! Close to great sightseeing and recreational activities. We weren't looking for restaurants did our own cooking and packed lunches for our daytime activities. Did lot of picnics and hikes in the area.

Clean and Quiet

The cabin was exactly as advertised. Well stocked with the essentials, comfortable beds/furniture, great remote location so very quiet, and close to hiking and lake activities. The hosts provided some great info about the area and were available as needed. Overall enjoyed the stay!

Always a happy stay!

We love the cabin, the property, the area - all of it. The fire is a wonderful edition and the home is perfectly situated in a secluded wooded area with a large front porch to dine or have coffee. The house is very clean and loaded with just the items you forget to bring (it feels like anyway). It's definitely a home away from home.

It is so peaceful there and it’s secluded and it honestly brought me and my significant other closer to one another and plus the host was so nice and we definitely loved staying there and definitely would stay there again

Another wonderful stay!!!

This was our third time staying at this house and our fifth time renting from Greg & Karen. We cannot not say enough wonderful things about them. Every trip has been relaxing and the houses have all been well equipped. We have been searching for a house for the past five years and finally found our retirement home on this trip.

Always a special treat

We have stayed here on several occasions. NEVER a disappointment. ALWAYS an excellent stay. The hospitality and kindness of the hosts Greg and Karen goes beyond words. I rented these nights for my hubby to take a nice “break” from staying in our camper down the road. I sure wish we had their lovely cabin on our property!

Awesome stay in the woods

Let me start my saying Karen is amazing. She met us at her home on way to cabin. She is so nice and pleasant. She had everything from bath soap to laundry detergent. Cabin was sparkling clean. Nice in quiet and secluded. The kitchen was great with everything yiu needClose to Beautiful Watauga lake. Keep in mind when visiting that restaurants close by 7pm. Wineries nearby are great.

A Lovely retreat in the forests of TN

My husband and I wanted to bike the trails of Virginia, boat the lakes in the area and spend time in the hills of TN. Karen & Greg’s place was a perfect location for our plans. It’s in an incredibly peaceful setting not far from Elizabethton. There’s a wonderful take-out Thai restaurant nearby. We especially loved the large deck and enjoyed our meals there. Thank you Karen and Greg for providing such a well stocked and lovely location to begin & end our days. We’d love staying with you again when in the area. M&P

My go to for serenity

We have stayed here multiple times by ourselves and this time we brought three grandkids. The hosts Greg and Karen are beyond welcoming and helpful. This is the only place that I want to stay when it is available! 2 very clean bedrooms and bathrooms on the same floor. Even though it is beautifully hidden from the road it is easy access. No steep hills or driveways. We enjoyed the fire pit this time with the kids. And they loved the tree swing. Just perfect honestly. Priced well below its value. Of course we’ll be back!

Jewelry in Butler

We have stayed here so often that we refer to this property as “our cabin”. It is our go to place in March and August. We love the peace and quiet. You want for nothing. Karen and Greg are the best hosts on VRBO. They always check to make sure everything is OK. We always take advantage of the front porch and eat our meals out there. We love to read and love to read in the chairs provided. There is always a trip to Boone NC and Trade TN. The cabin is centrally located to lots of things and places. It is furnished with everything you could possibly want from kitchen to bathroom to laundry room. The beds are comfortable and it is so clean. Fire pit is great! The absolute best thing about your experience here is ~ Karen and Greg. Thank you so much for awesome experiences each time we have stayed!

Forest retreat

It was nice to stay here. Upon arrival the hosts greeted us and gave us the information we needed to know about the property. The cabin was clean and well appointed, and everything was in good working order. Very secluded & quiet location with a cool old logging trail nearby for a nice evening hike. If we are in the area again we would not hesitate to stay here.
