Breakfast, the Poached eggs and avocado in sourdough toast with rocket was outstanding. Dinner each evening was a joy. Hotel with so much history linked to the Castle and the Swiss Cottage it made the stay even more special.

Lovely helpful reception staff. I forgot to mention my knee operation but as soon as they saw my crutches they moved our room to be nearer. Food in the bar was lovely.

The hotel looks tired and needs some upgrades. The shower was so very small, tighter than a phone booth and the shower walls are pealing. There is no elevator, so my husband had to carry the two full size suitcases up to the second floor. Cahir is a small town, with no many hotel options, so I guess it is not bad if you are staying there for a night, and the pub/restaurant offered a pretty decent fish and chips.

I just love this hotel, and always return when in the area. The location is perfect - next to the beautiful river path, castle and shopping. The staff are all top notch, especially those in the pub. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. The food is excellent. Always a very pleasant stay!

The stay was wonderful and the staff went out of their way, BUT from the pic we thought we were staying in a thatched roof hotel and instead it was a large 3 story hotel.

This is a very nice, comfortable, well-managed hotel right in the center of Cahir. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's in easy walking distance of the castle, numerous coffee shops, and restaurants. The hotel restaurant is also quite good, and there is a substantial breakfast available. Our "first floor" room was a significant walk from the reception, up and down several stairs, even after we were on the first floor, but that is just the way the hotel is put together. There is also a car park behind the hotel.

The hotel is an attractive building in the centre of the town, looking over the main square. There is free parking to the rear of the hotel and elsewhere in the town. The room was comfortable and clean with all the facilities you'd need. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent. All the staff were very friendly. The bar/restaurant in the hotel has a friendly atmosphere, serves good food and drink for a reasonable price. The hotel is with in walking distance of local parks, golf course and Cahir Castle.

Front desk staff helpful. No lift so stairs to rooms but staff did carry luggage. Convenient location, lovely dinner in bar. Close to Irwin’s for drinks and music. Not sure why but we were told not to drink tap water and had to carry water from bar. Very close to Cahir castle.

Dommage.
