Was wir vorgefunden haben, hat jedoch jede Grunderwartung an eine vermietete Unterkunft weit unterschritten.Bei der Ankunft war die Unterkunft in einem ungepflegten Zustand: Die Bettwäsche war verschmutzt, die Küche war aufgrund mangelnder Hygiene nicht nutzbar, und das gesamte Objekt war unrein. "Shelley, Carlos, and Darien are AMAZING. My family and I had such a memorable stay at their home. The open concept is exactly what you want at a location within the rain forest. They were very accommodating throughout our stay. The location is within walking distance from 3 grocery stores (supermarkets), a pharmacy, and delicious restaurant. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and open. We highly recommend staying here. We will see you all again "

The main listing makes it sound like this is a whole house, but it’s actually two completely separate bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and no connecting door between the two, then the kitchen and seating areas are outside. (This is more obvious in the detailed description if you click through and read the whole thing, but could be clearer in the main description...

"We had an issue our first night due to a noisy air conditioner, however once Diego , the manager was made aware of the problems he helped make our stay more enjoyable. He upgraded us to an ocean front villa which was quiet and private and sent over a bottle of wine. He was constantly checking on us to assure we were doing well. We appreciate his efforts very much and his attention to detail. Very nice beach restaurant with several sloths we enjoyed watching as we ate as well as other wildlife on property like agoutis. Quiet beach."

"Excellent staff and the property is reminiscent of a resort more so than a hotel/stay. Access to beach is extremely easy, attached to the backside of the property, though the beachfront is not 'developed' or 'set up' so do not expect a resort-like sun-chair set up. Excellent location if you want to be away from the hustle bustle of puerto viejo, but still biking distance to get to all the shops and cafes. Fabiano at the front desk, and Rosita for breakfast service, were both absolute delights and extremely helpful :)"

"We had the best stay at awa!! The property is very tastefully done , location on the beach is perfect , breakfast and just food overall (including the coffee) overall is delicious, and I can’t say enough good things about the staff , esp. Johnny .. he went out of his way to help us with some last minute booking changes that we would’ve otherwise stressed about. I also asked the reception staff about the amazing coffee they serve and they were kind enough to give me a sample !! Overall very relaxing and enjoyable stay and totally worth it !! Highly recommend AWA and we hope to be back"
