I booked this room for my husband & I to enjoy our honeymoon stop in Cairns - the view is what brought me in & I was very excited to stay. We arrived after regular check in hours so didn’t get to speak to staff. We arrived & the car park & property are located on a steep hill that makes it difficult if you have luggage to trek up to the building. Check in process was simple for after hours which was nice. I knew this would be a smaller room when I booked it as it is a studio, however photos of room and property to me were very deceiving. It’s as though they cut off a bedroom of a larger room to create an extra space to rent out. The bathroom is essentially a small closet with no privacy at all as it is about a foot from the bed which makes it hard to get around. The room didn’t feel clean. I found a dead bug on the kitchen table & there were many small bugs crawling around inside the bathroom & flying around the room. We understand where we are & that there are bugs, but they just kept coming after we would kill the ones we saw. We did not feel comfortable staying in the room but had no choice the first night. I will say - the bed was very comfy. But that’s as far as the good experience goes. We contacted Expedia regarding our concerns & the property refused to refund us & we ended up paying for a 2nd hotel & didn’t stay more than the first night here. We went back to the room to check and make sure we didn’t forget anything & it had been cleaned again - still missed the mark

We loved our stay at Amaroo, Trinity beach! Kym, was wonderful checking us in and helping to arrange tours. So nice being so close to the beach, wonderful walking areas and restaurants! Loved it here!

Wonderful property and lovely staff. Nice and quiet with a beautiful beach view and natural surrounding areas great for nature walks. Pool area was great and had a bbq area so clean with plenty of tables/chairs. Room was lovely and clean.
