"Like the previous reviewers, we understood we were booking a villa in central Barcelona, so were happy to pay the elevated price. When we arrived at the airport to find our destination was a 40-minute train ride outside the city, we had to rent a car for five, which took a couple of hours; initially I thought I must have misread the listing, so didn’t say anything, but it’s clear from the previous review that there was an error in the listing at the time of booking. "I stay here for 5 days with my family and we loved everything about the hotel from the security to workers, the hotel is always clean and there is plenty of things to do with the kids, every thing around the hotel is walkable. The food was amazing from breakfast to dinner, what I also really like was the star was available for us no matter what time it is, would definitely visit again with my family "

"Positives: Friendly staff at check in Cutlery, microwave and fridge freezer Well located in town centre Clean Balcony Comfortable bed and essential furniture, table, 2 chairs. "Lovely apartment! We have stayed here several times before. Right on the Seafront so an excellent location. Yes, it is a little more pricey than some hotels, but well worth it. Will definitely stay again next time we're in Lloret. "

Hotel Atenea Port Barcelona Mataro

10/10 Excellent

"Location was quiet and beautiful beaches around. 45 minutes by train to Placa De Catalunya where you can walk to many popular spots, ex: Sagrada Familia. Staff were very helpful and breakfast buffet was good. Fresh ground coffee machine had me pounding 4 cafe lattes for breakfast. Quick walk over to Mataro which is a nice city and friendly people. Also, lots of restaurants nearby along with a good gelato place. Would stay here again for sure."

"Amazing staff, everyone was so helpful and professional throughout my stay. I was especially impressed with the front desk team, they went above and beyond and truly made me feel welcome. The gym was quite good for a hotel gym, had everything I needed for a solid workout. The room and amenities were exactly as expected and matched the photos, which was great. The only thing l'd suggest for improvement is offering more vegan breakfast options. While I appreciated the plant-based milks, a vegan protein option would be a fantastic addition. Thank you for the outstanding hospitality, I really enjoyed my stay!"

"Firstly, the hotel had a Good location, friendly staff and good food. Disappointing that the snack bar was closed during our stay and all inclusive drinks was limited and only until 10:30, hot drinks were also limited to morning times. Entertainment was lacklustre and mainly for an older audience. The hotel rooms were basic but were cleaned daily. Overall an ok stay, but you could get better for the price."
