“This is an excellent place to stay in Calimera. The property is perfectly located in the center, steps away from the old town square where you’ll find great cafes, pastry shops and restaurants. Necessities like the supermarket, bank, pharmacy are all a short walk away as well. The property itself is very clean, quiet and well-managed. It’s the perfect place to rest in between day trips. The hosts are excellent: gracious, responsive and accomodating. 10 out of 10, highly recommended!”

“Went as a family of 5 (10, 5, 3) and had a great time! Service was incredible! My wife said the massage was one of the best. Francesco was so helpful and made us feel like family. The food was delicious too. The pools were nice but we felt like we were pretty loud and didn’t want to disturb the more zen like environment- but that’s on us for having kids! We didn’t go to the beach since we only stayed one night, but it seems nice. Overall a really nice place in a quaint beach town.”

“The property as such, the staff, other services and breakfast excellent ! Very original building a real ancient monastery transformed into a great hotel. Very spacious although it doesn’t have much capacity regarding rooms or suites. The location is excellent if you are using a rental car. On car the old city is only 5 to 8 minutes away. The hotel as such, as it is with most of the hotels, if not with all of them, in Puglia, doesn’t have a parking lot. But you will find a very convenient……

“the bed is comfortable, clean and my room is not street facing, so it's quite. easy to park. but a big far from the main attraction of the city. It's quite far to walk to be honest.”

“Hotel Hermitage was a pleasant stay. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was decently spacious. Parking was easy-on site. The property was generally well kept and clean. The bathroom I had appeared to be relatively newly renovated, however it did need a new shower head as a lot of the rubber ends where the water comes out had calcified so the water pressure wasn't very good, or sprayed out in all sorts of directions. Breakfast was a little bit underwhelming. It was basically bread……

“Staff were lovely, all super comfortable and clean - very short walk to spectacular rocky outcrop jutting into the sea from which to watch the sunrise. Borrowing the bikes and cycling into Otranto was fun.”
