“Stayed 3 nights in the Madeline cabin. No cell service, WiFi or AC but it was wonderful to disconnect and spend majority of the time outside. The property was super clean, and our cabin was spotless, the bed/ sofa sleeper aren’t he most comfortable but we would still book this again.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this small apartment conveniently located in downtown Downieville. Great views of the town below and surrounding mountains. The lodging was very clean and comfortable with a quiet atmosphere conducive to relaxation. As previous reviewers have mentioned the driveway up to the house is very steep so make sure you have decent tires and put your car in low gear before heading up the road! I would be happy to stay here again next time I make it to Downieville.”

“This was first time in the area, We had most wonderful stay at hodge podge lodge. The house was beautiful and sparking clean, well organized and have everything what we needed for stay. It located in nice neighborhood near soda spring ski resort. The house was warm and cozy , heater was good , wood stove was nice touch with plenty of firewood supplies. The bedroom was spacious and beds were comfortable. It was big plus to have easy in and out drive way to the house. We definitely recommend……

“My family of 5 (two adults and 3 kids ages 5 and under) had an excellent time in Truckee visiting the snow. There is a huge "green belt" in the backyard that's shared with other neighbors, and we were able to make snowballs, snowmen, go sledding, and we found a couple of igloos to play in.The house was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. We had issues with the Wifi and called the owner, but never received a response. We ended up restarting the router and it worked.
