Very nicely renovated lake cottage on a protected cove of the lake. Furnishings were minimalist, but new, quite adequate and comfortable, and appliances appeared new. The view from the deck was very nice, grill worked great, and we had breakfast each morning at the little outside (covered) bar. The only material week point was that the stairs down to the lake are older and a bit quirky. But, rennovation of those is planned for phase 2, so that aspect should improve. Both beds are towards the firm end of the spectrum. But personal preference determines whether that is a positive or negative. The included kayak is a nice inflatable; great for kids to play around in, or lazing around the cove. But, if intersted in exploring the area by kayak, plan to provide your own. Parking was very convenient; with a great gravel spot for 2 cars. We only had a few questions for the owner, but remarkably, he usually got back to us in minutes. We didn’t do any fishing, but did watch a neighbor reel in a nice catfish. Really enjoyed watching a range of birds (heron, osprey, and song birds), turtles, and sunfish in the cove. We were also treated to a firefly lightshow each evening. Definitely a place to consider, if you are looking for a clean, simple, bright lakeside cottage with a great open porch, open deck closer to the water, and a dock. Enjoy!
