The staff were friendly. The location was excellent for access to the Troy site and museum. The accommodation is basic, clean and tidy. They needed more blankets. The dinner menu was basic simple but good quality. We visited in the off season. This is a simple hotel offering a good service. Recommended.

The closest possible building next to the Ancient City of Troy archeological site and museum (literally next building). Very welcoming and supportive. Especially enjoyed all the travel tips, delicious dinner and breakfast and warm hospitality. Highly recommend!

O hotel é muito bem localizado, bem em frente ao excelente museu de Troia e perto do sítio arqueológico. Da pra fazer tudo a pé. O hotel é simples, mas limpo e confortável. O café da manhã e o jantar feito no hotel foram muito bons. Ótima comida. O chuveiro não funcionou bem no meu quarto, mas os proprietários ofereceram o de outro quarto e funcionou bem. Eles são muito atenciosos e dão boas dicas sobre como explorar Troia. Vale a pena dormir lá para visitar o lugar com mais calma.

Perfect for visiting Troy

Stayed 2 nights in July 2024. Purpose of the trip was to visit Troy, and Hisarlik Hotel is perfect for that. It's just a short walk from both the ancient site of Troy and (in the opposite direction) the Troy Museum. The owner and his brother were both always eager to answer any questions that we had, and the breakfast that was included was a great start to the day. AC in the room worked well, which was important in July. Also, Canakkale is a short drive away, and has a lot of great restaurants.

The staff at the hotel were amazing. It was early in the season (March 2024) and I was the only guest in the hotel. The owner made sure somebody was waiting for me at the hotel to check in (I was delayed and arrived past 7pm), asked if I wanted dinner and then asked the kitchen chef to return to the hotel (from her home!) to cook dinner, and then made sure the kitchen was open in the morning for breakfast. Amazing dedication!

There were no electric sockets in the room so we couldn’t charge our phones. Also there was no TV, no shower cabin, shower leaked and windows looked out an interior hall so we didn’t have fresh air. However, it was clean and the breakfast was nice. I’d say it’s a 2-star hotel with the rate of a 4-star hotel.

The room is very small for its price , no closet or space to put belongings. Water is typically given in the room everywhere else I have been in Türkiye, except for here and the price for water is 4x the price at a market around the corner.

Conveniently located between the archeological site and the museum, I spent 2 nights there. The hotel is very clean and the staff is friendly. I have travelled a lot, and read the comments about this hotel. Honestly, I do not understand the bad comments. The prices although a little higher than other places in Turkey, reflect the location. Do you think a hotel in Mont St Michel in France, in Times Square, New York or in front of the forbidden city in Beijing will be bargain prices? Think again. Of course, in my opinion, your attitude will make a big difference.

Very basic. Requested double bed, but was given a single. Hardest bed I've ever slept on and I woke up with a sore back. Very limited dining options. Was charged a higher rate than my booking, and also charged extra for my drink with breakfast (which was included in the booking). Elderly gentlemen there was very friendly, and will show you the guide book written by his brother. Very close to Troy archaeological site. Only a few hundred metres.

We booked this hotel for visiting the Troy archaeological site. Although the facility is a bit dated, the staff are friendly, the rooms are clean with comfortable beds, and the breakfast is nice too.
