Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. The room was spacious and comfortable, and I appreciated being able to control the air conditioning myself. Several staff members were friendly, which made a good impression. Some aspects might depend on personal sensitivity — for example, the early morning noise from the garbage collection truck, the ventilation sound from the ground-floor restaurant until around 11:30 p.m., the shower temperature adjustment, an unexpected fire alarm, and the Wi-Fi connection. Apart from these, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay, and I would be happy to return.

Cafe’s shops and parks all good. The Quest itself had spacious rooms and it was clean. It stated the room was going to be serviced each day excluding Sunday (reasonable) I had to request tissues, tea bags and coffee pods. I asked for a soap dish as it was a soggy soapy mess all the time but I’m still waiting for it. Home now. The reception staff are lovely but I think they are let down by room servicing staff.

Canberra is like a building site and ghost town EVERYWHERE at the moment with the new tram line being built so very unattractive and not a good time to visit. On first arrival at hotel, the reception smelt of cigarette smoke and the lift was out of action so not a good first impression however once on the first floor it was a totally different feel and my room (single studio) was modern, clean and perfect for my stay. The next day, the smell of cigarettes had disappeared from reception and all the reception staff I encountered were very friendly and extremely helpful throughout my stay. An asset to Quest.

I stayed only one night, checking out the following morning. The room and building felt tired and in need of a fresh coat of paint, but were otherwise warm and comfortable. Unfortunately, in the morning there was no hot water for a shower. I tried calling reception from the room phone, but no one answered. As I was in a rush to attend a function, I had to wash as best I could over the sink — which was also partially blocked and drained very slowly. I reported these issues to reception on check-out and was told someone would get back to me, but no one did. Sadly, I can’t give this stay a good rating.

Very conveniently located in the heart of the CBD. Easy access to pubs and restaurants. Smooth and friendly check-in. Room was clean and tidy. Some late night weekend noise from nearby pubs but, overall, we enjoyed our weekend at Quest Canberra.
