About this property
Cozy Tiny Home in the Hills
Quiet Hill Country retreat with great views all around. Accommodates a max of 4 adults or 5 guests including kids. Located only minutes away from all the Texas Hill Country attractions: Wimberley shopping and restaurants, river floating, Canyon Lake boating/jetskis, swimming and hiking at Jacob’s Well, Blue Hole park, zip line adventure, local vineyard and winery tours, music and dancing in Gruene. Come stay at this special location and the hill country will be your oyster!
The entire tiny house, the firepit and grill for exclusive use of the tiny house guests. This includes the yard all around the house (rectangle) marked by the tiny rockwall in the front, the string lines along the sides, and the wire fence in the back. Guests may also park their vehicles and enjoy the parking area in front of the tiny rock wall for some competitive bocce terrain. The only shared area with the other house on the property will be the entrance gate area.
There are 2 neighboring ranch homes within partial view from the space. The one across the road is over 100ft away and the other about 200ft. The residents understand it is a STR and will respect your privacy. There are a decent amount of trees and shrubs blocking their views as well as patio curtains that guests are encouraged to make use of for additional privacy.
There is about a mile of unpaved gravel easement road that guests will need to drive through to get to the space (check included picture). Some may not like it but it does provide an authentic country experience. It is also great for walking (or jogging) for all the outdoorsy and fit people out there, where fantastic hilltop views of Canyon Lake can be seen.

Cute place for a quiet weekend getaway! Would love to see some outdoor stringy lights in the front fire pit area with a little L shaped corner privacy fence and “cowboy” pool/hot tub! Will stay agin.

This property was perfect for our Moms Getaway! The house felt bigger than it was with plenty of room for the three of us.
Needed some time away from the city life to spend quality time with the family. Kids loved the tiny cabin experience. We enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit under the stars. Thank you for the great experience!
Very spacious for tiny house. Dave, the host. Was very helpful and quick to respond with any questions we had. He recommended some great restaurants. We went to CreekHouse and loved it ! We ended up going twice during our stay
Great stay at this comfy cozy tiny house- loved !!
The house was perfect - very nice , spacious enough, clean. Well appointed. Nice Tv tooLoved the front porch!Used the fire pit every night :)Yes, Serenity road is gravel and bumpy but go slow and it’s just fine!
We have always wanted to experience tiny home living, and we got it! The home had everything we needed for our stay. We were very comfortable! Looking forward to next time we visit family & will definitely stay at this house again!
Property is on a nice side quiet area. If you're looking for peace and quiet place, you can't find anything better than this.
I highly recommend this tiny house, it’s very spacious inside, clean and good looking.
Cute little cottage and perfect for a couple or with small children with the loft! It was clean and well maintained. Super helpful having hooks and plenty of towel racks in the bathroom. The queen bed downstairs is very comfortable and there were only 2 of us so we didn’t use the upstairs bed.
My family enjoyed this stay immeasurably! Host is incredibly communicative and professional. Able and willing to help if needed. Location was so close to all the things. Really in the middle of all the activities. Our family of 5 had a great stay, you will too!
Great little house! Kids loved the loft bedroom. It's a small space, as described, but worked well for us. Loved the remoteness, but wasn't able to capitalize on it for stargazing, due to weather. Great price and notes from owners were clear and easy to follow.
The tiny house was just perfect for two old friends attending a nearby music festival. The house was clean and perfectly sized. The dining table turned out to be just the ticket for games when we weren’t at the festival. Dave graciously helped with a lockbox problem (totally my error). It was a good trip!
This cute house was a great deal. In a central location to Canyon Lake and Wimberley. We spent a day in Driftwood at the local wineries. Make sure you locate the house during the daylight hours because it is a little dark on the dirt roads. The only downside was the view of the trailer across the front porch. Their yard had a lot of junk to look at.

Great owner and fantastic space, the shower drained a little slow but no other issue with the property or owner. Expedia's website caused a lot of issues and their support is pretty bad but this property is great and the owner Dave really saved the day with his great customer service despite VRBO/Expedia losing my itenerary
Cute little place. Very clean, nice, and well stocked. We cooked dinner every night and had everything we needed. Couch and beds were very comfortable. Loved having the washer/dryer. Front porch was great to hang out and watch the sun set and stars are big and bright at night. Dave was great to work with and responded quickly to any questions. He also allowed us to reschedule our trip last minute due to the snow storm. We will be back!! Thank you for sharing your homecwith udls
Overall it was ok. Beds were comfortable. The lack of basic items were noticeable. There were literally 3 paper towels in the kitchen, coffee but no set-ups. No dishwasher, ok but there was dish soap but nothing but a very used sponge to wash dishes with. Cabinets very unorganized, just things thrown under the sink & in pantry for you to sort our yourself. Wouldn't recommend drive in & out. It served it's purpose but wouldn't stay again.
The coziest getaway. Very close to Canyon Lake and less than 15 minutes away from civilization, stores, restaurants. We loved every minute of our stay.
Everything was as described. Do bring your own toiletries as they only supply you with whatever others leave. Shampoo, conditioner, body soap are all open containers from previous guests.
Cons: The shower floods right away.
Also, bring your own firewood as they only have brush piles, and they burn out super fast. All the windows were unlocked; Just make sure the windows are locked as soon as you get there.
We appreciated this reset so much. Stargazing was my fave.
We loved our stay here! Typically we go to New Braunfels & stay on that side. Canyon Lake was great & so much easier going than NB. The house was very clean, great AC, & the check in/out was super super simple! There was just about anything you would need to cook with. We loved how out in the middle of nowhere the location is & still had cell service. It is SO quiet!! You’re only about a 15 minute drive to the horseshoe. We will try to stay here again next time we come to float the River.
If you drive a small car you may want to look at the reviews about the road. It wasn’t bad to me, compared to our private road this was an easy climb. However if I had small 2wd car maybe I would feel differently lol! It is a dirt road with quite a few pot holes & windy hills. I actually really enjoyed driving it lol!

Needs some love and attention!
Property needs a good deep cleaning. Microwave, oven, ceiling fan all need major attention as well as all the cobwebs on the side of the toilet don’t look like they’ve been cleaned in a very long time. Found all the cabinets to be very unorganized like things were just thrown in. Arrived with lots of food in the fridge and freezer. Manager said it’s left for others to share but I’m not sure who would use an open bottle of orange juice, a topless can I of redo-whip, opened stick of butter, etc. The road to get to property off the highway could stand a good grating also.

Clean!
This tiny home was CLEAN! Perfect stay for the price. I wish I had known a couple things before hand though. The property IS right in front of the owners home. And by right in front.. I mean when you're sitting on the porch you're staring at their home... I wish it had said that in the listing.
PROS:
Clean. 20 min from the horseshoe. Stars are beautiful at night. Plenty of room. Porch with comfortable seating. Quiet.
Cons:
Right in front of the owners home. The shower drain didn't drain well. No clean sponge was left.. Just a used bottle brush for dishes. There was only 1 extra blanket but 2 beds (the beds were hard). And the lockbox was hard to get open.
I have a feeling these are just some kinks and the owners will fix with the more stays they get! With that being said, I would stay again because the price was so great!
