The pool was amazing. Warm 86 degrees. The infinity pool was perfect for our grandkids ages 2 and 5. We spotted roof rats on back fence during sundown. They have infested the Cape Coral area. Lots of little spiders that wove lots of webs around pool area but they didn’t bother us. Home was well stocked with essentials. The host was super responsive and allowed us to check in early and even allowed us to stay an extra night. The home itself was nice, Comfortable beds. Upon arriving we noticed a glob of hair in master shower (ugh) tho I did not report - just cleaned shower. Days later spotted a huge cockroach on wall which I did report. Didn’t feel safe walking in area. Abandoned bldgs a block away on way to downtown. After 2 weeks of not receiving refundable fee I inquired and got a msg that they were charging us 100 for a broken patio chair and if I would have reported it, it could have gone more smoothly. What? We have never damaged any rented property..EVER. I did move the chair from porch to lanai as after 12pm there is no sun in the pool area except for a tiny corner in which the loungers would not fit. I AM guilty of not returning that chair to the porch but did not damage. No questions were asked. Just an accusation that we broke it. At departure we did 3 loads of towels, swept, cleaned frig, did dishes and cleaned lanai. We did NOT leave a damaged chair. Maybe broke when they picked up to move back to porch? We were charged anyway, their word over ours
