Very impressed with the staff who were on duty. They were very busy during the breakfast service but dealt with demand with very calm manner and always maintaining grace under pressure. Rooms were very clean and room service staff were usually close by fir extra towels.

Short family trip
Myself and the 3 children stayed here while visiting family in Barry, we usually stay with family but due to the current climate wanted to stay separately. The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. The restaurant had only just opened after restrictions lifted and they did the best to serve breakfast while maintaining social distance. The hotel is basic but that is the ‘express’ brand of Holiday Inn. All in I would recommend for a clean, affordable, short stay.

This stay was perfect as is / initially this wasn’t a part of the honeymoon, but once I added it, the stress of car rental returns and getting to the airport at 6am went away / staff was wonderful

Receptionist yesterday morning and this morning was good & helpful. Room ok, but basic. Breakfast this morning - not much food choices, all help yourself. No-one to even check you were staying in the hotel.

Brilliant staff
If I ever want to stay near Cardiff in the future, this is the place I would choose (30 mins by bus/train to city center). I stayed 3 nights at this hotel recently with my friend who was visiting from America, I have nothing negative to say about my stay here. It was absolutely perfect! The staff were the friendliest and most helpful I have ever encountered when staying at other hotels. They are a wonderful representation of the company. Thank you all so much.

A bit dated but are undergoing a full referbishment through out this year ideal for us to come and visit our daughter who lives in rhoose coming all the way up from cornwall we wanted to be as close as possible to save traveling too far to see her.

the check in was easy and Paula made us feel very welcome. Didn't like the catering staff shouting because we didn't want too much water in our porridge an there was some spillage of water, we were happy to clean this up has we been given the opportunity but the catering staff was determine to make her point this a focal point. not a very professional approach to deal with customer.

Absolutely Great Hotel and Staff
This was our first stay at this Hotel. We were a bit apprehensive but from the moment we entered the hotel the staff were absolutely brilliant!! What a pleasure professional polite and really helpful could not do enough for us. Even the lady driving the shuttle bus was very helpful polite and informative. What a pleasure!!!

Booked a bedroom for 3 and given 1 for 2 people, then regiven one for 3, go to the room and it was literally upside down, then helpful reception guy, went and prepared a third room for us but apart from the bedsheets the bathroom etc wasnt cleaned from the last stay and it wasnt a good experience. The reception person gave us a welcome drink and atleast tried to sort it out and that was the only plus point

Stayed here as part of a trip to visit friends in Cardiff. Lovely little hotel, all the staff were so friendly and made myself and my 3 year old son welcome. I even contacted the hotel the night the night before to request a runway view for us to watch the planes. Ashley was so happy to help and allocated up room 306...perfect. the breakfast was basic, but hot. We will definitely use this hotel again.
