J’avais pourtant demandé une chambre supérieure, mais on m’a attribué une chambre en rez-de-chaussée qui ressemblait à une catégorie économique oubliée des années 70 : odeur d’humidité persistante, salle de bain minuscule et dans son jus, serviettes d’entrée de gamme. Pas d’acceuil. Pour un établissement noté au-dessus de 9/10, je m’attendais à tout autre chose. Il y a manifestement un décalage entre la réputation en ligne et la réalité sur place.」

「Wir haben uns in der Unterkunft sehr wohl gefühlt, eine sehr saubere und schöne Unterkunft. Wir konnten unsere Fahrräder sicher und trocken unterstellen, und uns wurde auch noch ganz unproblematisch ein Abendessen serviert. Das Frühstück war außergewöhnlich gut und sehr lecker, man merkt, dass die Gastgeberin gerne kocht und backt. Wir können diese Unterkunft nur absolut empfehlen.」

「Matthew (spelled diff in France) was an excellent host and was quick with any questions we had about the area. We have no complaints at all! The breakfast is what we expected, room cleaned each day. One block from the marina and restaurant choices. my wife's only complaint was the French eat dinner so late! D-day festivities were close enough for a quick drive down country roads. Love the area. Will definitely stay again! 」
