Unfortunate stay at this hotel. Arived at hotel to find part of the building was without electricity, as a result we did not get the room we booked. We were provided an alternative room. The room included breakfast. We went down for breakfast the following day, the owner was not at the premises and apologized in a note pinned to the door that no breakfast would be available and that we would be provided some compensation for this and the lesser value room. We had to leave and buy our own breakfast. We did not receive any reimbursement from the owner. The issue was taken up by hotels.com and the owner has refused any compensation, matter closed. So the low score reflects the dishonesty we received from the owner and the disappointment in Hotels.com for giving up easily. The low score from myself will hopefully bring down slightly the overall score for Cornerways as we personally don't believe this establishment deserve it's 9.5 rating. If we'd have got the money back on the breakfest, would have been quite content and got over it. As we got nothing and have had to go to the trouble of chasing it, then we've done all that's left for us to do and let anyone who cares to read this our poor experience.
