Our stay was great! The property was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The host was incredibly accommodating, especially after our first VRBO booking turned out to be a mice-infested disaster. We really appreciated the quick response and warm hospitality. Simply beautiful, very very clean, so quiet out there and dark the stars are beautiful at night. Despite having a power outage for 14 hours, which was out of the owner’s hands, Edward did everything in his power to get us external power get us up and running. Large driveway lots of room to park. Fully equipped found everything we needed for a four day weekend. Will definitely visit back again.

A weekend in the country

This property is in an idyllic country setting with a big field opposite with peaceful cows roaming around. It is also within 30 minutes drive of a beautiful beach at Papineau Lake. A very spacious clean and well kept home. Highly recommended.

Best Girls Getaway

FIVE bedrooms & TWO bathrooms!! Tastefully appointed and only 20 minutes from Bancroft. We started in Tweed, shopped all the shops in Maynooth ( just N of Bancroft.You have GOT to visit Cassidy’s for specialty coffees, teas & estate jewellery & don’t miss Firefox either). Bancroft has all sorts of shops. Try Fiesta Flavours for lunch. Then shop the afternoon away before grabbing some take out Italian for dinner before heading out to the MAYO rental house for a little rest and yes, cocktails, of course! We played cards at the huge dining room table, then moved on to the ultra clean garage for a mini pool tournament. Finally hit the very comfortable beds by midnight. Coffee from Cassidy’s in Maynooth in the morning - yes, the filters are included, along with cinnamon buns (my apologies to the baker, but I can’t remember your name) from the Maynooth Market - runs every Saturday from spring to fall. All told, one of the best getaways I can remember.
