Unfortunately, this stay was very disappointing and did not come close to matching the listing or its high rating.Upon arrival, the initial door code did not work and I was locked out. I spent nearly two hours on the phone trying to resolve the issue. The local VRBO contact was completely unavailable, unresponsive to both my attempts and two separate attempts by VRBO customer service. I found it concerning that no one was available to ensure a successful check-in. The host never reached out, never checked in during my stay, and never offered an apology.When I finally accessed the unit, several issues were immediately apparent: • Soap and sink were unclean • Seeds or debris were present on the towels • The power went out during the stay • There was no welcome book or instructions of any kind • A living room light did not work • The bathroom fan was heavily dust-covered, with dust visibly hanging from it • A broken hand towel holder with hair still attached • The unit was extremely coldAlthough a space heater was provided, it was insufficient for an open-plan unit and did not heat the space adequately. If there had been a bedroom that could be enclosed, heating would have been far more effective. This limitation should have been clearly disclosed in advance.The listing states that the unit “overlooks the mosque,” which is misleading.
