The free breakfast was nothing to boast about. Very limited options, when an item ran out it was not replaced ( hot food items ) The bar/ restaurant was very expensive, $26 for a French dip sandwich…OUCH! We only saw 2 staff employees all weekend and both were very polite.

Overall stay: Less than acceptable. Worst part: Room was not clean, and could barely be called a “King suite”. Best part: The restaurant was PHENOMENAL! Excellent wait staff, exquisite cocktails, and mouth-watering cuisine that was prepared precisely as ordered. 11/10, will definitely eat there again (even though we will be staying elsewhere…) Now the breakdown: Starting with the parking lot on our way in, it needs cracks weeded and patched. Walking in the front, you don’t directly enter the lobby, so it was slightly confusing as to where we needed to go. Nobody at the front desk, waited nearly 5 minutes for someone to finally pop out of the office and help. After hearing how much the gentleman hates the “new system”, and a detailed list of all the ways it was different than the old one, we got our keys. Which had to be placed on the tap pads in a precise manner in order to function properly. Annoying, but bearable. Walking through the hallways felt like we were in a prison. And when we opened the door to our cell, it only added to that feeling. About the only (hopefully?) clean portion of the room was the made bed. Beyond that, there was crumbs and dirt on the floors, coffee stains on the small countertop, windows smudged with face and finger prints near the outside edges of the glass, hair in the shower, toothpaste stains in the poorly-wiped sink, food stains in the fridge. Just…gross. And the TV didn’t work, to boot. Bed was hard. Fridge noisy. 2/10.

Breakfast was disappointing. There were no eggs, no biscuits and gravy. They had a large amount of volleyball tournaments in town and filling the hotel, and there was only yogurt and turkey sausage (that looked quite unpleasant, and I like turkey sausage) for protein options. It was pretty much, waffles, breads/pastries, boxed cereals (3), yogurt, turkey sausage, or potatoes. The hotel itself in the common areas was beautiful, then I got to my room, and I was blown away by the shocking neglect! There was a layer of dust on our microwave, stains on the sheets, we found change and various other trash on the floor, the toilet didn't flush, there were ants all over the bathroom, the bathroom was disgusting, the floors were dirty and had obviously seen rough times. There were several things broken in the room, the tissue holder in the bathroom, pieces of the door in the mini, and I mean MINI fridge. There was a chair that actually doesn't fit in the room, it was either hindering usage of the blinds in the window or up against the bed on that side of the room. If you want temperature control, forget about it. While the wall unit worked, it doesn't automatically turn off at a desired temperature. I went to the front desk 3 times and all 3 times I waited close to 10 mins to be helped with nobody in the lobby but me. They never tried to make anything right either. A maintenance guy was called to our room at 8pm to fix the toilet, rather than offering a different room.
