Hat Creek Paradise

The hosts were very responsive to several special requests we had during our stay. The house is absolutely beautiful and the setting on the river is perfect. The fish are plentiful and the wildlife is abundant, we saw the otters!

This is more than just a house; it's a destination. I viewed more wildlife from this house than any of our hikes combined. I couldn't tear myself away from the sunroom. We saw families of deer, ducks, geese, squirrels and so many birds! Had I not been able to go out exploring I would've been just fine letting nature come to me at this house. The home has all of the essentials with thoughtful considerations. The Mr. Coffee coffee maker was pleasant to enjoy a pot of coffee while watching the sunrises over the mountains. We appreciated being able to wash a load of laundry, the dishwasher to take care of dishes, and the ice maker in the freezer. The rooms are all comfortable. The two bedrooms are next to each other after walking in the front door. The room with the sofa bed and the sun room with the futon are on the opposite side of the house. It was great having the option to park in the garage for ease of loading our luggage the night before our early morning departure. We felt there was a great variety of games and enjoyed playing them (Uno, Boggle, Puzzles, Cards, etc.). Though it was a very far distance to travel for us, we cannot wait to return!!

Perfect location for fishing Hat Creek! Enjoyed the spaciousness of the kitchen and living area with 2 couches, and the deck for wildlife viewing and stargazing. Gracious hosts were very responsive to questions. Wonderful home base for our trips to Burney Falls and Lassen National Park. Would definitely stay again!

wonderful place

Great spot to fish and access the state and national parks. The sun room looking over the river is a wonderful spot to play cards or enjoy a meal. We spent so much time in that room as it was just a beautiful view. Will continue to go there every year i can.

Fisherman's Paradise

This is a beautiful cabin home right on Hat Creek with great fishing just steps from the porch. The place is much larger than it appears in the photos and it is well-furnished with a retro hunting/fishing cabin vibe. Our family, ranging from teens to grandparents, stayed in mid-July. Lots of beds and hang out spaces for a large family gathering. The place was perfectly clean and the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed BBQing our fresh-caught trout on the huge deck with view of the stream and mountains. The location for fishing couldn't be better. We caught lots of stocked rainbow trout behind the cabin and at the nearby dam and Baum Lake... these areas are also good for kids and older folks with mobility issues. There's also world-class fly fishing water just downriver past the PG&E powerhouse. The hosts were great. Responsive to communication and they had a nice welcome treat ready for us and a binder with info about the house and the neighborhood. We'll definitely book here again!

Awesome place!

Quiet and serene location. Very comfortable home for our group. Great proximity to Fall River for outdoor activities. House well equipped - great deck and BBQ over water. Excellent hosts!! We'll be back.
