Outdoor jacuzzi in old town w/ fantastic sea view

A special house awaits you here in the historic center of the old fortress of Castro. It is located on a hillside on several levels and offers various terraces and a wonderfully relaxing garden with a heated outdoor jacuzzi and a fantastic view over the sea and the Adriatic coast of Salento.

The house is simple inside but quite unique due to its early 20th century eclectic style. It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, several living areas, a kitchen and two panoramic terraces. It is distributed over two floors, which are connected by an external staircase.

The entrance of the house is on the upper floor and leads to the living area, which consists of two rooms, one of which has a kitchen (with oven, microwave and dishwasher) and a gallery with a double bed. There are also two double sofa beds in the living area; a shower room is next to the living room. The highlight is the large panoramic terrace, which is furnished with tables, chairs and sofas and offers a fantastic view over the different shades of blue of the sea, the sky and the rugged coast of Capo di Leuca.

On the ground floor there are two more bedrooms: a double and a triple room (with bunk beds and a single bed); there is also another bathroom with shower and a second outdoor terrace from which you can access the lush garden. This is equipped with a pavilion, a swing, a table, chairs and a heated outdoor whirlpool (max water temperature up to 40 °C); the latter is open all year round on request, at an additional cost of €120 for the setup €15 per day. The surcharge includes all water costs as well as cleaning by a service provider approximately twice a week and with every guest change.

The whole house, the garden and the mini pool are exclusively available to you and are not shared with other people.

At the lower end of the garden, a small pedestrian gate leads you onto a footpath towards Castro Marina and the sea (approx. 10 minutes). The pretty piazza of Castro just around the corner, several cafes, restaurants, pizzerias and two supermarkets are also within walking distance. The coast of the region is rocky with numerous very impressive bays. The nearest sandy beaches are the beautiful Porto Miggiano (approx. 5km) and Porto Badisco (approx. 14km) as well as the kilometer-long sandy coast of Alimini north of Otranto.

Please note that the house has no private parking spaces and that the entrance to the house is in a restricted-traffic area of the old town. You can park just outside the city walls (there is paid and free parking) and walk the last stretch (approx. 100 meters).





Sheets, duvets and towels are not included. If you don't want to bring them with you from home, regardless of the length of your stay, you can rent them for €26 per person.

Final cleaning is not included and costs €140, unless you clean yourselves before departure.

Pets are NOT allowed in this property.

We will ask you to pay a security deposit of €600 before arrival. The security deposit will be refunded within 7 days after departure, if there is no damage.

Electricity costs (and thus where applicable AC, hot water, heating etc.) are NOT included in the price and will be charged based on your actual consumption. The price per kWh charged to guests was €0,42 on 06/01/2026, when this text was last updated. Prices may slightly change over time.

We are obliged by law to verify the identity of all our guests. We will therefore ask you to upload copies of your IDs on our (secure) website to verify your identity before handing out the key code for the accommodation. Parties, gatherings, events or loud music are not allowed at this property unless explicitly authorised beforehand by us in writing.

In case the local municipality charges a tourist tax, we will ask you to pay this separately to us and we will transfer it to the local authorities as required by law.

Please note that, like for all houses in Italy, the power allowance of the house is limited and you might not be able to always use all electric appliances simultaneously. No need to worry: most guests don't even notice this limitation.
