"The hotel was beautiful and the staff were all pleasant and super helpful. There are a number of good restaurants nearby and the main sites are well within walking distance. The room was exceptionally beautiful and spacious with top class linens. "

"The receptionist was a bit cross when we arrived - I had said our ETA was 18.30 to 18.45, we arrived at 18.55 (I realise that reception closes at 19.00 and we were a bit later than anticipated, but we had had a tiring journey, and at least we arrived 5 mins before reception closed!!). A different person was on reception on checking out who wasn't very warm. "

"Bed was hard as a rock. Toilet made a dripping sound all night. It was very clean but there were unsightly stains in the bathroom. Breakfast was fresh."

"Il Principe is one of the best located hotels in Catania, close to all the main sights and easy walking distance to Square, Monastery, Fish Market etc. The Staff were exceptionally helpful . The reception area's, and Breakfast room had plenty of space and nicely decorated with marble. 2 person lift to all floors. The hotel had somewhere for the luggage on our last day. There was alway someone on reception. The area was quiet and felt safe. Breakfast had a good variety, hot scrambled eggs or boiled, bacon, mushrooms. Cold ham and cheese, yogurts, cereals, croissants. Fruit juice and coffee. The room was a good size and double aspect. Our room had a shower, which was adequate but could have done with updating. Bed was large but a little firmer than we are used to. Towels, hairdryer etc provided. Air conditioning was excellent. Unfortunately there was no kettle or coffee maker in the room, although there was a fridge and safe. I don't think we could have got a hotel that was in a better spot, ideal to pop back to in the day for a rest."

"Location across the street from a very nice public garden. Good access to the sites and neighborhoods of Catania. Catania exceeded my expectations with friendly staff at the restaurant and bars we visited. We did not have much interaction with staff but that wasn't necessary. They booked a ride to the airport at a fair price. The internal stairway leading up to the rooms was a. it rough, being under renovation."
