I recently stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites in North Cedar Rapids. Overall, the hotel was clean and the staff was friendly, which I really appreciated. The lobby and common areas were well-maintained, and the location was convenient for my trip.
That said, I did have a couple of issues that impacted my stay. On the first night, there was a group of guests partying on the back patio until around 2am, and it was extremely loud and disruptive. I’m all for people enjoying their stay, but it felt like there was no noise policy being enforced.
The second night, I had a pretty unsettling experience while lying in bed, I noticed a large bug (possibly a roach or water bug) crawl across my blanket. Needless to say, I didn’t get much sleep after that.
This hotel does have potential, and I hope my experience was just a one-off. If management can address the noise control and ensure pest prevention is a top priority, it would definitely improve the overall guest experience.
