“Hotel was rated 10 out of 10. Pictures were deceiving. Noticed afterwards that all of the 10 ratings were not verified by Expedia. It was extremely rundown. Embarrassed that I took my wife there.”

“This is a complete crap hole. Do not pay attention to the pictures or positive reviews. The pictures are AI and the reviews are clearly fake. If you book a reservation here, don't say you weren't warned. You're welcome”

“The Scholar's Cottage was one of the most well-rounded VRBO homes we've stayed in. It is a charming, old home with character, lovingly updated where it matters for comfort, in a quiet, green and safe neighborhood. The bed (King) was very comfortable, and the linens and towels were high quality. The home was very clean. Keurig coffee maker with Keurig pods in the kitchen for your morning coffee. We only spent two nights but would definitely consider staying there again if we are in RIchmond.……

“This is a wonderful historic property if you're into a vintage stay. We were. The home is lovely. The only disadvantages are not having a host on-site and having to get luggage up the stairs without an elevator or bellhop assitance; there are no bedrooms on the ground floor. And being vintage, it takes quite a while to adjust the temperature to where you want it. Also, it would be helpful to have television instructions; we were never able to figure out how to get anything on the TV.”

“There were vending machines close to the lobby which were convenient for late-night snacks.”

“We really enjoyed the house. The setting is beautiful!”

“Small toiletries made packing way easier than usual.”

“'Room offered straightforward comfort without unnecessary extras, ideal choice for overnight stays where dependable rest matters most compared to other places I've visited recently.'”

“This place was amazing. Can’t say one thing bad. All good. We just hope it is available next year same time. Thanks for thinking of everything”

“Was a beautiful loft apartment. Spacious and welcoming with many personal touches. A quiet place for us to relax and be refreshed.”

“This is an amazing place to stay! We were in the area for parent's weekend at Miami College and this was a perfect location. The little coffee/tea bar was so nice and well stocked! The kitchen was clean and had lots of supplies. Bathroom has lots of towels and other nice touches. We would definitely stay here again.”

“What a lovely tiny home. I enjoyed my stay in this peaceful, rustic sanctuary that made me feel a part of history and nature. Sharon herself was a delight. I have a knee injury and didn’t want to risk the loft ladder. Pullout couch was quite firm, though, so I might bring my own mattress topper next time I stay. Lots of cute shops and places to check out in Centerville.”

“Absolutely perfect in every way. So very clean and home was restored to absolute perfection. Host gave us food ideas in the area that were 5 Star. We were greeted with cinnamon rolls upon our entry that set the precedent for the perfect stay. Truly cannot say enough of this lovely home. Definitely a keeper for our future itinerary travels. ”

“Our second stay for a family cemetery project.Nice safety improvements since we visited - a railing on the steps to the second floor, a grab bar and mat for the tub.The atmosphere feels homey despite some quirks as a result of the home’s age.Easy stay.”

“My wife and I stayed in one of the wagons located in Arcanum. It was a great stay. Peaceful, quiet, and just a great experience! We would stay again.”

“My patents were celebrating their 64 year anniversary. We wanted to celebrate with a short trip and this was the perfect location. The property was beautiful and we enjoyed the walk in the woods and fishing. The covered wagon was a unique stay and one we will remember.”
