casaamentamaria is tough, but luxuriously renovated, house beautiful countryside between Rome and Florence. The house has several terraces, a private pool, a sloping garden and a picturesque village 2 km away. Inside there is a spacious hall with loft, a large kitchen with fridge and freezer, microwave, washing machine, a living room with a 2 p. sofa bed. Upstairs are the bedrooms (2 and 4 people) and there is a bathroom. Attached to the house is also a second outdoor bathroom, very practical when using the pool. The house is comfortable and tastefully decorated. Outside the rental season can be used by writers and artists as Artist in Residence.

Cultural and historical region is particularly interesting because of the Etruscans. But also Civita di Bagnoregio, Siena, Pisa, Assisi, Perugia and Orvieto are easily accessible. Day trips to Rome also doable.

Fabulous House in tranquil setting

We stayed for a week at this fabulous property in June/July 2025. The booking process was easy and communication thereafter was excellent. The house is in a very rural setting just outside Celleno. Celleno offers a couple of small supermarkets/grocers, two or 3 bars, a fantastic butchers and two or three restaurants/pizzerias. One of these is only open over weekends. You would need to drive into Celleno. There are more restaurants slightly further afield and Viterbo is no more than a 20 minute drive. The house and location are both beautiful and the location is very peaceful. There was good internet and good air conditioning in both bedrooms. The pool is lovely and very well maintained. Somebody pops in every other day early to clean the pool - you are otherwise left in peace. The house is like a family home and I have seldom stayed somewhere so well equipped. There were lots of staples in the kitchen cupboards which you replenish as used. The house is south facing but there is always some spot where you can get some dappled shade outdoors including under the vine covered pergola on the terrace. We had a fantastic stay and I would definitely consider returning to this lovely property.

Traumhafte Alleinlage

Gleich bei der Anreise haben wir uns in dieses wundervolle und traumhafte Plätzchen in landschaftlich reizvoller Lage verliebt. (...eigentlich schon nach der Annonce) Der Pool gab uns die nötige Abkühlung bei 39°C. Das Haus hatte uns mit seinem Charm und der Einzigartigkeit sofort im Bann!! Es gab keine lästigen Mücken und der abendliche warme Wind lud ein bis tief in die Nacht auf verschiedenen Terrassen zu verweilen. Die ganze Familie konnte sich wunderbar erholen. Wer es ruhig und abseits liebt der ist hier richtig. Vielen Dank für die Möglichkeit hier Urlaub zu machen!

Sehr schöne Lage

Sehr schönes altes Haus in wunderbarer Lage . Mit Blick übers ganze Tal. Der Pool war auch sehr schön und richtig groß. Leider war es in der Küche sehr dreckig , das Geschirr war überall angemackt oder gesprungen und richtig dreckig . In den Tassen sammelten sich die toten Fliegen . Leider gibt es ja keine Geschirrspülmaschine, sonst hätte ich das gesamte Geschirr mal spülen lassen . Die Bäder waren sauber , allerdings lag aus dem Möbeln und den Fensterbenken dick der Staub und die toten Insekten , von wegen es wird wegen Corona alles desinfiziert. Leider ging das wifi auch nur jeden 2Tag , was für unseren 15 Jährigen Sohn sehr frustrierend war. Deshalb nur 3 Punkte den für den Preis hätte ich was besseres erwartet. Trotzdem hatten wir 2 schöne Urlaubswochen .

Fantastic Location

We stay at Casa Amenta for two weeks with our family. It's not very easy to find and the discription of the owner was very helpfull. The communcation with the owner runs without any problems. Every questions was answered very fast. The house is located a little bit outside Celleno and the house is reached by a dirt road. The house ist lying onto a small hill with a fantastic view. There are no direct neighbours. The pool is excellent and will be cleaned twice a week. Also at high temperatures it's easy to stay at home because of the pool, the aircon (in the two bedrooms) and in fact of the light wind each day. The location invites you to visit the fantastic area of latium - Viterbo (30min), Montefiascone (20min), Bolsena (30min), Rom (1:20h), Bagnoregio (15min), Celleno...... A car is definitly needed! The house is well equipped and there is enough place for everyone. The only negative point (which is outside the owners influence) are the dogs in this area, which think it's a good idea to talk each night together very loud or only howling to the moon. We enjoyed the time very much, it was very relaxing for us!

Lage des Hauses und Umgebung grandios, ländlich und zugleich ortsnah. Sehr freundliche Italiener. Alles war perfekt für einen erholsamen Urlaub.

Stunning location

We had a great week! The property has amazing views, very rural you need a car. Herds of sheep with bells coming past our breakfast table every morning on their way to graze in the valley below. House had good air con in 2 bedrooms. Kitchen well equipped. Pool very refreshing. We had some problems with flies and mosquitoes and other wildlife all part of being in the countryside! But a very lovely time and a gorgeous setting.

Heel fijn, sfeervol huis op rustige plek met geweldig uitzicht

Een heel fijn vakantiehuis op rustige locatie iets buiten het dorpje gelegen. Elke dag genoten van de geweldige vergezichten vanaf de terrassen en bij het privé zwembad. Het is echt een plek om even te onthaasten.

Geweldig mooi huis

Wat een ligging! En van binnen is dit ook zo'n mooi huis; heel goede ruimteverdeling met veel licht, mooie designmeubelen, fijne keukenuitrusting en luxes zoals houtkachels en airco. Daarbij nog het mooie privezwembad... Een echte aanrader.
