「Very clean, updated. Comfortable bed, staff very friendly. Charles City is a nice small town, right on the Cedar River. Dining nearby. I highly recommend "Pub on the Cedar", and staying at this Super 8...it was great !!」

「The staff was not helpful. There was one guy who was helpful but not overly friendly. They were more worried about who quit and gossiping in front of customers versus making sure the free breakfast was stocked. The overall Custer service was a major disappointment. If it weren’t for that it would have been a nice stay. Great location in Waverly and lots of things to do within walking distance. Easy parking.」

「My son and I stayed 6 nights in an accessible room. The website mentions that you have to request housekeeping during longer stays, but even when we did, we found the service a bit unpredictable. There was no niche or shelf for toiletries in the shower, which was inconvenient. Of the five staff members I spoke to during the visit, only one graced us with a smile while we were there. The breakfast was ok, but only one day offered scrambled eggs and sausage; the biscuits and gravy on the other...

「If you like a great price, this is the place to stay. The building generally needs fixing up and modernizing, but it was acceptable to me because I just wanted an affordable place to sleep overnight. The desk guy was nice and very accommodating. Breakfast was decent and most of it was unofficially available even though we had to check out at 5:15 am.」
