“Beautiful old hotel with great staff and great location. Biggest downside and reason I probably won’t return is the hotel & rooms are in need of a massive upgrade/ modernization. The bathrooms are ridiculously small & outdated and the rooms need a major refresh. Love the old hotel details such as stationery in the room, but with so many other options in Charleston, we sadly won’t return to this historically important hotel. Please make ”

“Excellent in every way. Front desk welcoming, room comfortable and clean, robes and slippers. Valet parking service was spot on. Lowlands Restaurant, adjacent to the hotel, was excellent, both the food and service. Efficient check out. ”

Even though the weather during our trip was a bit chilly, the hotel made the entire experience feel warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. “The staff was amazing well valetet and the bellsman. Tbis was my first visit to South Carolina so im trying not to be judgemental when i say this, I was absolutely charged at the extreme price even after booking through expedia. The lady at the fronq desk told me $890 was for incidentals after i was already cjarges $800 plus through expedia and told i only owed resort fees at Wild Dunes. I am so disappointed with this visit”
