  • Our cozy cottage is welcoming and perfect for a lakefront experience! You will love hanging out on our private beach under the River Birch, while enjoying lavish sunsets.

    Reserve our pontoon boat to explore the beauty of Lake Wylie. The boat will be delivered to your dock on the evening before or morning of your booking and picked up when it is time to go. Check for owners specials from time to time.

    You will love the beach! It is perfect for the kids to run around and play in the sand while you watch from the patio or dock. The "bay" offers a safe swimming environment, being indented into the shoreline, feel comfortable and confident that your loved ones are safe from boat traffic. You will have access to a canoe, kayak and stand up paddle board to launch out on an adventure from the beach. It also has a great fire pit, perfect for stories and marsh mellow roasting.

    Home description:
    Entering the cottage, you will see a beautiful view of the Lake through the front wall which is 80% glass. The very open floor plan offers wonderful interactions with guest while cooking in the kitchen. The living room features a large flat screen TV as well as a pull out couch. After taking in the view, you’ll notice the elegantly crafted wooden interior of our new, fully renovated home. On this level you will find the second bedroom with a queen bed facing a picturesque view of the lake. This bedroom has a large private bathroom with a walk-in tile shower and marble floors. Walk out onto the deck for a gorgeous broad view of Lake Wylie as well as our private beach, lawn and dock.

    Continue downstairs to enjoy yet another beautiful wide view of the lake through the many windows. Here you will find another living area great for relaxing in front of the large flat screen TV or reading a book in front of the wood burning fireplace. Also on this floor is the master bathroom with a beautiful travertine shower, large closet with a new top-of-the-line washer dryer. The master bedroom is located on this level with a king sized bed, walk-in closet and a fabulous view of the lake. Walk outside on this level to the downstairs patio - a perfect place to wind-down and enjoy a refreshing drink or simply see the beauty of the lake.

    You will build many fond memories and always be welcome at our cottage!

Great stay . Great area . It is an older home with some things such as towel hooks on doors etc could be updated . Overall was an awesome stay . Only thing that I felt could be better about the stay was there were no tacklebox for the fishing rods out on the back patio. And the dock itself seemed a little unsafe .

My family and I absolutely loved this property. We will definitely be booking again. The setup was perfect for us and our children absolutely loved the little beach to play on. We rented the pontoon boat which provided a very fun day out on the lake in the sunshine. Check out was super easy, which as a mom of two young children, I always appreciate. Georgia and her husband were extremely communicative throughout everything and we cannot wait to come back!

We booked this property on a whim while our house was having construction work done. I am so happy we chose this property. Georgia was easy to communicate with and helpful when I had questions. Some of the furniture is older and could use updating but none of that would deter me from coming back again. We do intend to rent this place again! Thanks for a great stay!

The Sweetwater property was an amazing experience overall. The communication prior to our stay was excellent and flexible to meet our travel needs coming from 10 plus hours away with a 5 year old to make sure our trip was seamless! We spent the entire 6 days at the home on the dock and in the water feeling that we never needed to leave to fulfill the expectations of our 1st vacation of the summer. I’d recommend the Sweetwater property to anyone, you will not be disappointed!

We absolutely loved this rental. The beach area was great for family activities. Plenty of space to run around, swim, toss a ball around and have the fire pit going. The dock was great for fishing and older kids. The communication was easy and reply’s were prompt. Wish we had more days there.

This updated cottage was perfect for us and our dogs! The kitchen was well-equipped, bed was comfy and the screened porch was awesome! Everything was super clean throughout. Nice lake view, beach and dock. Owner was very responsive and helpful. Great location that felt like a private getaway, but close to anything we needed. The floor plan would work well for two couples or a family with kids. Thanks for a wonderful week!
