Tucked Away Paradise
This sweet house is the perfect, simple, getaway from it all. My family and I lived on the dock and the amazing porch. The home had it all with a loaded kitchen filled with cooking supplies, games, puzzles, outdoor games, chairs, chairs, chairs. The spot is kept hidden back in the woods so you truly feel left alone to just enjoy the peace of nature and explore the property. The fenced area is perfect for anyone worried about little ones around the water. The deer greeted us several times a day. The blue herons and ducks often lingered to check us out. The home is older, but kept very clean and the property very well maintained. We wished we had more time to stay!

Family Time
Great setting , house is nice, but the best part was screened in porch. Enjoyed it so much! Our bed was fine but my daughter and son in law did not like the blow up matress on top of a smaller box spring. It was supposed to be a king bed but ?? Otherwise a nice gathering place for us.

Family/Friends reunion
Great big screened in porch with lots of tables and chairs to hang out, talk and enjoy the gorgeous view of the lake. Lots of games and a very well stocked place with just about everything you need. Everyone that came loved the whole place! Owner got back immediately with all questions we had. Definitely recommend. Deer were everywhere! So nice and cozy!!

Wonderful stay!
We had a very enjoyable stay! Our family of 6 had plenty of room, and the outside area is fantastic! My husband caught plenty of fish off the dock. I will say that I did go out and buy a few extra pots and pans because I only found one pan and pot. There is only one TV in the living room, so if your one who likes to watch TV while laying down it doesn’t have one. But overall it’sa great place to stay and we will definitely come back!!!

Excellent property. The fees were excessive for our short stay. The property was listed as 8 miles from rock hill sports complex. It was a 30 minute drive each way each day.

Great week on the lake
Setting of the cabin is beautiful. The house was comfortable and well stocked. The second bedroom lacked window screens and provided an inferior mattress. We had a pleasant, relaxing vacation at his cabin. Thanks you.

2 week get away
The location was great. The overall feel was like a camp. The property could use a little more love. Slightly run down. Overalll clean but oven and other item could use a better cleaning. Since we stayed 2 weeks had to go to the laundry mat. Washer and dryer would of been great. For the price it was good.

Would stay again.
This property is amazing. I wish we had stayed longer. The beds are comfortable. There are no tvs in the bedrooms, but the kids stayed outside most of the time anyways.

Perfect waterfront spot for a family that loves the water
We took two grandchildren ,ages 4 and 6, with us to Mom’s Cabin for four nights. The kids are part fish and loved jumping from the dock into the fresh water to waiting grandparents. The dock has a 5 step ladder so getting out is easy. One day we rented a pontoon from Tema Cay Marina which is close by. We were able to tie up at the dock and come and go as we pleased. We enjoyed watching the ski team practice although we were unable to see their show as we left on Friday, the only day they perform. The kids had their first experience with fishing from the dock. A small herd of deer which we viewed from the large screened porch greeted us each morning. Lots of indoor and outdoor games provided and our littles enjoyed the fenced in playground. The only issue we had was an encounter with chiggers by our youngest as she cut through the high grass to get a better view of the deer. Recommend bug spray for any such outing! The kitchen is well equipped, the beds and bedding comfortable and all areas were clean. We hope to stay again next year.

Summer Vacation
Gave a 3 star for cleanliness because the cabin inside was clean and well stocked with everything we needed, but the out door amenities were underwhelming. Screened in porch needed regular cleaning and maintenance and the paddle boat was not useable, one chair was completely broken off and it was very dirty. Did enjoy fishing off the dock and sunning in the yard, but most of the yard chairs were also unusable. The owner was responsive to questions. The cabin is in a great area and very private with many stores and restaurants nearby. Could be a really great getaway vacation cabin with a little love.

February visit
Property was great and also enjoyed the surrounding area, especially the town of Belmont and Papa Doc’s restaurant. Spacious cabin, we especially liked the master bedroom with views and porch access. February was a little cool for the lake and the porch, but we really enjoyed the views from the porch.

Nice view. Clean. Roomy. Drive thru the forest.
Nice place. Has everything you need. Towels, linens, Keurig, ice maker. We did not use the technology nor the dock and water. By water it would be a ride up to Papa Docs or the NC sandbar but not too far that you wouldn't go there. Did make several calls to Bill bf he finally responded. He was very good with email. Watch your car bc the house is deep in the woods and the road is dirt and gravel and very holey. My car is low to the ground and if it’s dark you will bottom out in paces. Go slow. You also have to drive thru a new construction neighborhood so that was questionable ie “Is this right?” We did not stay at the place much due to cold rain but it would have been a lovely wknd had it been hot and sunny. There’s a fire pit but it was locked with a cover. I would recommend this place and would rent again with Bill. It’s a no frills place but a great place if you can be outside and rent a boat. And a good location to SW Clt and Ft Mill restaurants and shopping.

The PERFECT change of scenery!
This was the perfect escape for my little family! We had the best time sitting and playing on the porch, Fishing off the dock and paddling around in the boat. My older two kids loved the bunk bed room! Mom’s cabin was well stocked with almost anything you could need. We will definitely be back and my 6 year old said “when I get older I’m going to buy this house Mommy” . Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!

Great time at Mom's Cabin!!!
We loved our time at Mom's Cabin. The huge screened in porch was very comfortable and had a great view of the lake. While we did not rent a boat, we made a lot of use of the dock (sitting, swimming, fishing). Everything we needed was available. Large bedrooms and very comfortable bedding.

We came down from Ohio to see family that lives in Lake Wylie. My granddaughter had a wonderful time
We had a wonderful time swimming off the dock and fishing off the dock my granddaughter even road are small raft over to the small beach on the island near the property. This is the perfect location for a family vacation. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans.

Perfect Place for A Family Vacation
We are a family with 6 kids and this was our first family vacation and I could not be more happy. Mom's Cabin really made us all feel at home. First it was extremely clean, stocked with everything you need. The beds were amazing and the house was just breathtaking. We were able to fish daily, swim, use the paddleboat and just spend time making memories. We were even able to play board games and spend time together. Moms cabin is perfect for any family and we will be visiting again! Thank you Mom's Cabin for making our first family vacation beyond worth it ❤

Perfect Getaway
We had the best time at Mom's Cabin. It was the perfect set up for our young family. The kids loved playing on the screened in porch and on play set in the fenced in yard. We ate every meal on that porch and swam all weekend long. The paddle boat was so much fun to take out early and explore the cove. We will be back!

Very Relaxing
Great cabin! Photos don’t do it justice...it was larger than expected! Plenty of space in living areas (living,kitchen, porch), comfortable beds, stocked kitchen, and all around great space! I gave a 4 on location because you have to enter a subdivision to get to the house (not perhaps the fault of the owner... just really odd) but once at the house, the location is beautiful! We saw deer Thursday when arriving, that night and then Friday morning, as in a dozen or more doe, fawn and buck! Internet worked well! We enjoyed corn hole on the deck and the antigravity chairs as well! Only thing that would make this a better spot is a canoe or some kayaks, perhaps a boat. We did bring kayaks, but only two. Rentals in the area were pricey. It would be a good idea to label the light switches...took us awhile to figure them out. We hope to return to this spot in the future! Thank you for such a nice place to get away and chill!

My family LOVED this property. The large screen porch and playground were a treat for my grandson and 2 yr old twin girls. The kitchen was the most well stocked kitchen of any previous VRBO properties I have used in the past, I highly recommend this property

Quaint Little Cabin
Our stay at the cabin was perfection. The living space was big enough for myself, my parents, and my twin toddler girls. They have a dock that you are able to fish off of and there are boat rentals not too far away. The location was perfect as there was easy access to go to hot spots in both South Carolina and North Carolina. The swing set in the back was a delight for our girls and the big screened in porch. Communication with the landlord was fantastic and he was very understanding as our stay was cut short due to my clinical rotation cancelled because of Covid-19. Would highly recommend.

Lovely lake front cottage.
