We absolutely loved our stay here! Absolutely beautiful property inside and out, perfect cozy spot, caught the snow which was beautiful! Only 15 minutes from town. We will definitely be back, and we loved the Alley Light suggestion from the owner which was incredible! All around it was a perfect stay, thank you!

My husband and I came up for a few days to just get away and we didnt know what to expect. Steve surpassed all of our expectations and we left feeling refreshed from our trip and made a new friend along the way! The hospitality was excellent and we loved being greeted by the farm mascot, Casey! We will be back. The farm has the most beautiful views, the hot tubs are a wonderful added bonus as well as all the amenities provided. Thank you again Steve for being such a wonderful host!!

This is a hidden gem in a convenient location near a winery and historical attractions. Definitely for a nature lover! No frills or fuss-just a cool place with nice amenities. The Jefferson dwelling is not for tall people as the ceiling is low. The host is hospitable and the place is very clean.

Nice place but small. We were expecting a cottage not the attic. So not much space to lounge in.Luckily the weather was great so we spent most of our downtime out by the pool which is a gorgeous place to hang out!

My lifelong friend and I came for a girls weekend in October and this property did not disappoint!! It is an absolutely beautiful place; peaceful and quiet. There were two other groups of guests staying in the other two rentals, but they were all awesome. My only regret is that we weren't able to stay longer. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle and just unwind for a bit. The fall foliage was absolutely stunning, there were deer roaming everywhere, and the American flag was proudly displayed in multiple spots. We loved this place so much that we plan to return next year!! 10 out of 10, highly recommend!

What a lovely property. Quiet and rustic yet close to Monticello and Charlottesville. Easy to find. Everything was just as pictured and Steve and Casey were perfect hosts. The pool was refreshing after a hot day at Monticello and our own private hot tub overlooking the meadow was very relaxing. The suite was cool and VERY clean... a high priority for me. Thank you so much!

What a lovely weekend we had at Steve’s beautiful home. The location is perfect for winery tours, the University, some remarkable regional restaurants, or just to relax by the pool. Amazing property with a tuck-away oasis of a backyard area that is second to none. Pool, hot tubes, hammocks, and an outdoor bar surrounded by nature; and even better at night when the outdoor lights are on. You won't be disappointed and highly recommended.

We had an amazing visit. The host was friendly & welcoming. We were truly able to recharge. We swam, grilled, relaxed in the hot tub, went fishing, hiked & explored the local area. The views on this property were absolutely stunning. The sunsets were breathtaking. Monticello, downtown Charlottesville, winery’s, brewery’s & restaurants were all a short distance. If you like a fancy grocery store, Wegmans is 20 minutes away. This beautiful farm made it easy to relax. We cannot thank our hosts enough for their excellent hospitality, highly recommend!

Beautiful historic property and an awesome outdoor relaxation area. Very close to town, but felt miles away. Enjoyed the hot tub under the stars. My husband and I checked in for our 8 day stay in the Madison at Auburn Hill Farm and immediately had a problem. He’s 6’3” and the ceilings were mostly closer to mid 5’ range. Thankfully, the host was able to accommodate us by moving us to The Cowboy Hideaway. This spacious cabin had all of the amenities we needed and more. There was a private hot tub, grill, patio set and fire pit with tons of views. We truly enjoyed our stay on the property.

A fantastic find. Secluded property, yet close to everything in Charlottesville. Although we've been to Charlottesville many times, the host turned us on to several restaurants that are now at the top of our list. I'm 6ft 1in tall and had no problems with the sloping ceilings. I would highly recommend this property to anyone that is wanting an authentic stay in a property that has been and continues to be updated. The property manager is doing his best to keep things very nice and welcoming, and it shows! The cottages are beautifully done and in an excellent location with the bonus of the farm to walk around enjoy, the pool, hot tub, and wonderful pool deck/patio areas. History and wineries are a stones throw from his property. Highly recommend this to a couples or small groups that would want privacy and relaxation!

My husband and I took a long weekend to explore Charlottesville and visit Monticello, and we absolutely loved staying at the cottage. The property is gorgeous, and we absolutely felt like we were at home from the moment we arrived. (We really enjoyed the pool!) The cottage is located so close to everything, but you feel like you are in a secluded place. Loved hearing the frogs at night, and hearing the birds singing in the morning. Our host, Steve, was so friendly and thoughtful. (Thank you, Steve! We really loved that bread you shared!) We cannot wait to return and enjoy staying at this beautiful property again.
