Our room was next to the laundry and it was either that or the refrigerator that kept making a sound all night long. The shower bathroom area could use some clean up. Had a small table and chairs and a window in the front and back of the room that was nice for getting some fresh air.

Made a reservation and paid in advance. When we got there they refused to give us a room because we had a local address. We were forced to go to another hotel late at night to find another room. Absolutely unacceptable. And we chose this local, non-chain hotel on purpose. We then went to a large chain hotel and they welcomed us “locals.”

I don’t understand the terrible ratings people have left. This was a wonderful stay. The owner was so friendly, sweet and helpful. The check in process was simple. When we got to our room we were thrilled. It was spotlessly clean , the beds were super comfortable ,nice linens ,more television stations than we have at home . The air conditioning was cold and not too noisy. The bathroom was also immaculate with plenty of water pressure and hot water in the shower. The location is great. We were sad we weren’t staying longer. We will definitely be back the next time we come to Maggie Valley.

I've stayed twice in a month.... it's perfect. It's an old roadside motel - but the owners have done a great job with the place. It was clean and comfortable and a nice chair outside of my door.

This is a no-frills motel for a good price. Nothing negative to say ... just not overly impressive ... the room was clean, the AC worked well, good cable TV line-up, decent Wi-Fi ... there is quite a bit of traffic noise and construction as well
