The place is a bit dated but, very clean! Cool dragon decorations in front of the property. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I'll be returning and telling all my friends about it!

The owners are so nice and the property is a unique place that encourages guest interaction. Cool sculpture in front and plenty of outdoor seating. I personally appreciated the friendly cat on the property. Only a 15 minute drive to Dragons Tail.

Cute and comfy.

As outdated as this place looks, it was actually very clean and comfortable. The bed was nice, the shower pressure was great, the water was hot. Bill is super friendly and accommodating. I would absolutely stay here again.

Phillips was very clean and the guys at the desk were super friendly! The property out front had many cool sculptures. It is located close to several gas stations and fast food restaurants as well as an Ingles. In spite of being close to these things, the property was fairly quiet. Only complaint is that there is limited parking out front, however there are a few more parking spaces affiliated with the hotel behind the restaurant next door that we utilized. Overall was a clean and comfy experience.

Nice size room, very comfortable beds. Bill was very accommodating. We were traveling on motorcycles and got caught in bad weather on the way there. We were afraid we wouldn't make it before he closed. He told me he would leave the key out for us and we could settle up with him in the morning. This motel is old but clean. No bugs!!! Great location and covered parking for motorcycles.

Very friendly staff and no pressure approach. They offer maps with the loops and for the money paid, the deal was good for a full house accommodating two families. The house was clean and everything provided worked. A bit dated maybe, but functional. Slept well.

Group of 5. Stayed in two rooms then changed travel plans and stayed another night in a 3 bedroom. Change to 3 bedroom was simple and easy. Staff supplied us with anything we needed. Will definitely stay again. Place is clean.

Service was excellent, very happy with the staff. The room was also generally very clean and pretty comfortable. The downsides were primarily in room condition. There is a lot of fit and finish that should be done to bring the rooms up to a suitable standard. I appreciate the historic nature of the motel and don't expect remodeling, though there were issues like missing/damaged trim, pretty poor paint, poor seal around the window AC, etc. I also would have appreciated black out curtains or blinds as a lot of light came through the existing, small curtains. My only complaint cleanliness wise was that I saw what appeared to be black mold growing beneath the showerhead on the wood panels. Otherwise the room was very clean.

I arrived early around 1 pm and was able to check in, the man behind the counter seemed nice and friendly. The property is very old, dark and outdated. It is not a place that I would recommend to a family. However this area caters to motorcyclist and I would stay there again for an overnight bike trip especially since they have carports for motorcycles to use. The room was also a fairly large size and easy to access. Things I didn’t like: The walls are very dark, the electrical was outdated and converter boxes plugged into them for 3 prong plugs. The bathroom was somewhat updated but was not done professionally and the hot water only lasted about 5 minutes. There was a traditional full size coffee maker with everything to make a pot of coffee but the ground coffee was in a sealed pack and I didn’t have scissors or a knife to open it. There were ants on the nights stand both dead and alive. The carpet was very old, dark and dirty and I was not comfortable walking barefoot on it. This could be a very nice place to stay with some cosmetic updates. But it is a nice place to stay if you don’t care about that and want a short drive to cherahola skyway, the tail of the dragon and the moonshiner.
