Steve, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: -We provide directions for lake access on our listing; you only have to take a right turn out of the driveway and drive until you spot the sign that says "boat launch". You can also turn left out of the driveway and go down until you reach the parking lot next to the lake. -We're sorry to hear that a bear may have gotten into the trash you set out. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to prevent this from occurring though we hope that you were not threatened by the animal's presence.
