Respectful to the review, but here is some information regarding the incident. This guest asked for a late checkout and was granted within minutes of the request, without a fee. The checkout instructions are simple, take out the trash and pickup after yourselves. None of this was completed. This group was very clearly a one night drinking event, leaving alcohol all over the counters, drawers, and floors. The security deposit was kept and it was done for valid reasons after communicating the damages that occurred during their stay and additional cleaning expenses incurred. All items had to be removed from the cabinets to be wiped off, floors had to be scrubbed five times, and all the cabinets had to be scrubbed. The brand new glass cooktop was cracked and permanently scuffed. The doors were left unlocked and the front door to the home was left wide open in 20 degree temperatures. This is the only guest that we’ve ever kept a security deposit on, and it was not done so without solid reason.
