The King Bed is made of two Twin Beds spliced together with a seam in the middle, which is very easy to fall into the seam when sleeping. The room is also very small, and it is far from the elevator, so you have to go around. Very bad experience, highly not recommended

We use a split king bed here in the hotel which gives us some flexibility to host guests that need either 2 twin beds or 1 king bed. While set up as a king the beds are latched together and will not separate on you. Also it sounds like you were on the 4th floor based on your description of the hallway. There is a block of rooms on the back side of the housekeeping department which is why it is necessary for the hall to go around there. I apologize if this was an issue for you.

Nice restaurant downstairs, great location, safe and walkable. Rooms are on the smaller side but clean with nice staff. The only issue is the room temperature for an older hotel, warmer then was comfortable. Wifi was good.

The location is great. Staff was wonderful. There were some issues with the keys not working, but once that got fixed everything was great. The free bottled water was a nice touch.

Lovely room in a fantastic neighborhood right in the thick of it. Surprisingly and delightfully affordable. Folks payin' 3-4X as much as the W just a block away.

A European style hotel in the loop. Smallish rooms. Nespresso in rooms. Has decent amenities. A bit outdated and trying to strike a cord between being green and affordable while meeting expectations if an American clientele. Many of the guests were European and this meets European standards while falling a bit short of American standards. Would go back.

I thought this was a great value hotel. Nothing I didn't like. Arrival and departure were easy and straight forward. Room was clean and comfortable and cosy. Suited my overnight needs perfectly. Staff were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed breakfast at the Elephant and Castle!

This hotel is in the perfect area, plenty of great food places surrounding an easy to access nice landmarks so a perfect place for someone coming from out of town to enjoy the city. The staff is friendly an accommodating. It would be nice if the rooms had a fridge to keep food in so that may the only negative. Other than that would definitely stay again.

The hotel was quiet and clean. Staff was courteous. The Elephant and Castle Restaurant served an excellent complimentary breakfast with a lot of choices. Their dinners were also excellent and their staff was courteous.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the hotel and my stay considering the room was significantly less than others in the area. My room was small and nothing fancy but it was clean, quiet, and the bed was comfortable. A small fridge would have been nice but there didn't seem to be much space for that in the room, perhaps some of the bigger rooms have other amenities. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again should I be in the area.

Incredibly overpriced for the quality and cleaniness of the room. Staff at the check in doesn't even want to check you in but rather redirect you to the self-check in kiosk. Walls are very thin and can hear everythng. Please do not stay at this hotel but look for a better one.
