One of the largest theme parks in China offers a mixture of fast-paced fun and relaxation for all the family.
Brace yourself for the exhilarating free-falls, dives and twists on the advanced thrill rides of Chimelong Paradise. This theme park has more than 70 rides and attractions, including a 10-loop roller coaster, high-speed water slides, a few tamer amusements and even a theme park designed for younger children. Chimelong Paradise is organized into separate areas, each with its own theme. The park’s most daring rides are in Screaming Zone. Happy Water World has water rides, slides and roller coasters.Experience the park’s biggest thrill ride, the Dive Coaster. This exhilarating attraction takes riders up to a height of 262 feet (80 meters) and then propels them down a 98-foot (30-meter) drop at 75 miles (120 kilometers) per hour. Hold on tight at the Superior Large Pendulum, which swings and twists up to a height of 138 feet (42 meters) at a maximum speed of 68 miles (110 kilometers) per hour.Get close to the action with a front row seat at Countdown. This special effects and acrobatic stunt show is based on a classic story of good versus evil. It also has explosions, high dives and jumping jet skis, so it is like watching an action film play out live in front of you. Kids will love exploring the Happy Amusement Park, a massive indoor playground for children up to 13 years of age. There are more than 40 attractions under one roof. Situated in the Panyu District, Chimelong Paradise is approximately 8 miles (13 kilometers) from downtown Guangzhou. The simplest way to get there is by metro, as the station is just a few minutes’ walk away. Shuttle buses also run to the park from the metro station. Chimelong Paradise is part of a much larger tourist resort that also includes a water park, a circus, a crocodile park and a safari park.
