Great place to stay with the restaurant on property. The only way to see the canyon iis with the Tours. Learned so much about the Navajo People and the ancient ruins.

The hotel was clean. The amenities were fine. We thought the food in the cafeteria was very basic. Our microwave oven was broken and we reported it but it was not repaired or replaced. Two out of the three desk staff members that we met seemed indifferent to their jobs. The location is great.

I like that the property is Navajo-owned and within the Canyon de Chelly National Monument. The television reception was very good, with lots of channel choices. There was a pod coffee maker with good coffee pods. The ice machine worked well.
We had booked a tour of the canyon through the property which started at 3PM. We were not allowed to check in before the tour started. I found the reception staff to be on the surly side. The nearby cafe was not accommodating to people with food allergies, like myself.

The toilet wouldnt flush, the coffee maker didn't work and the shower didn't work. We changed rooms after a toilet disaster and the new room had all the same problems. The staff tried their best but the owner is not taking care of the property.

Funky place- especially the dining. Very old school park service. Great location for canyon de chelly. Seems partly Navajo run but not clear Navajo owned.

We had a great stay at the Thunderbird Lodge in Canyon de Chelly! First, it was located right within the park and it was amazing to be able to drive five minutes and already see the beautiful canyon. We also had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant which was very good and also super convenient. Our room was super comfortable, and it was especially nice to return to our cozy room after a fantastic three hour tour of the canyon. Thank you for the great stay!

Nice place for touristy feel. I didn’t go into the restaurant or other places. The room was nice, small but overall decent. What was off was used towels still in the bathroom and used wash rags still hanging from the shower curtain that were not removed telling of a possible not cleaned restroom. But other than that, everything else was decent. We only stayed a night and were not expecting anything fancy, however dirty linen is always a teller of quality control. Staff was wonderful.
