The renovations being made to this special property are outstanding, and it will only continue to get better. The staff was wonderful, the housekeeping was excellent, and the beach bar is superb. I will definitely return!

Besides the roaches, the place was AMAZING. Drinks were great, food was filling. The property was under construction, but still very beautiful. The roaches really killed the vibe though. They seem to enjoy the bathroom and the curtains the most even though they are also present in the kitchenette. I think an exterminator would do them good. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. Otherwise we had a great time. Would have been 5 stars if we didn’t have to deal with roaches in our room. Easy fix.

The staff was great, the rooms were clean. I wasn’t aware the pool wasn’t open and there was active construction taking place at 7-8am every morning. We had to move rooms because of it and we could still hear all of it loudly.

I had an amazing stay at Hotel Cay! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. The location is absolutely beautiful—perfect for relaxing and taking in the scenery. One of my favorite parts was using the water taxi—it added such a fun and unique touch to the trip. The bar was fully stocked with great options, and the food from Rolling Smoke was delicious with a nice variety to choose from. Overall, everything exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

I can’t wait to see the hotel finished and restored. We have been coming there for over 20 yrs. My ex-husband is from St.Croix, we know how beautiful the property use to be. The staff were friendly, courteous, and helpful. We love the beach.

we have stayed at Hotel on the Cay several times. we have been coming to St Croix since 2014 and only stayed there. the beach is why we come there and the beautiful clear water. the hotel is under new ownership and is in the process of renovations and repair from past hurricane. the bar on the hotel property has good food and drinks!

We stayed eight nights and it was okay. I was shocked by the fact that guests have to pay twenty dollars a day to use an umbrella on the beach, and you only get one free lounger, your travel partner will have to pony up 15 bucks. No coffee maker in any of the rooms. Our sliding glass door to the balcony was broken, and we only had WiFi in our room for about 5 minutes the entire time. The pictures are very inaccurate, the place is in shambles from hurricane damage and it’s a bit depressing when you’re trying to enjoy a vacation. I read that there was construction/renovation happening, but I wasn’t expecting such disarray. On the plus side, it was fun taking the ferry into town and checking out the shops and restaurants. The staff is great and Joan at the front desk was very kind and helpful.

It’s unfathomable that half of the property has been under construction for the past 10 years. It’s so run-down, with construction materials lying around, making it an absolutely horrible place to be. The staff was rude, gaslighted me, and caused me a panic attack by refusing to check me in with my service dog, which is registered and recommended by a doctor. Stay away from these scammers.

The hotel stay was pretty awesome. Taking the ferry back and forth to the main island was fun and very convenient! The guys in the boat shop on the hotel property were my hero’s and so helpful with tour info and any questions we had. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The only thing I could complain about is the hotel is still renovating so there was quite a bit of construction mess and noise but it was not really a bother. The snorkeling around the hotel was fantastic!!!

The room was great, except we should have asked for a room on the first floor, as the stairs left us out of breath. Checking in was a breeze, front desk staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The beach chairs and the ferry are at no charge to guests of the hotel, that was a nice surprise. They are renovating rooms and improving the amenities. The beach is perfect. Rolling Smoke BBQ on the beach is on point, delicious!!!! Bar staff is always top notch when I visit! All in all, a great stay and I was pleasantly surprised at the room amenities and ocean view.

The property was mass renovation unsafe environment, toolbox in room. Jackhammer woke up to noise 7am daily with construction going on in the hallway and steps This property should be closed until they are completely done with the renovation. Loud noise hazardous walkways taped off with caution tape . This was the worst hotel my wife and I have stayed in decades .horrible, horrible 😞. My wife and I were visiting St. Croix to renew our vows and celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Luckily the ceremony was at another Hotel on the Island or our total trip would have been ruined . Please compensate us for these horrible arrangements.
