「15-min walk to the main terminal for buses to ski slopes. Accommodation was a bit dated. Comfortable but nothing special. The toilet smelled bad no matter how many times we cleaned it. There was sufficient space for 3 large adults; would have been tight for 4 and too cramped for 5. Friendly staff who were more than happy to transfer us to/from the station and willing to help and provide information. Overall average accommodation.」

「The hotel was very comfortable and clean, and the hosts were very friendly and polite. They accommodated our every need. There was a wonderful balcony and small garden, where we could enjoy Mount Fuji and relax while enjoying a cup of coffee. The room also had a separate washing machine with dryer, which saved us the trouble of having to go elsewhere for laundry. 「This place was amazing. This was a picked based on location to Mt Fuji and nothing else. Due to other factors , visiting around Hakone and other places closer to Mt Fuji didn’t occur, but we found other gems. My wife and I loved it and so did the kids. The windie road getting there, was interesting, but really just another part of the fun. Thank you so much. We hope to come back again some day.」

「The cottage has everything a family needs but the communications around check-in was very poor and hotels.com's customer service was unwilling to provide any assistance. I would have thought some level of quality control helped justify hotels.com's commission. Either way, the cottage is managed by the building next door and this is where you need to go to collect the key. 」
