"Check out was closed between 12-4pm - even though I was given information we could check in from 2pm - This was also on their own website and information given to my wife who booked via another website to. So arriving a 2.20pm in the pouring rain from an early am flight wasn't ideal. All shut up - nowhere to stand except in the porch and an hour wait for staff to arrive around 3.30pm - not an ideal start - Limited tea/coffee n towels also experienced - Ok on a budget, but maybe a bit more expected after check in "

"The breakfast was really poor. Often there wasn't any bread left. The bacon was black. Looked as if it was several days old. Fruit salad bowl was empty most days and there was very little choice of jam. The orange juice was souer. We had already stayed in several very reasonably priced hotels where in each case the breakfast was good. We expected better for the price. "

"The house, though not state of the art, was okay. Everything we needed was available. The rooms are spacious as the kitchen is. The garden was so beautiful. We couldn't stop watching (we were at the right time I suppose). Flowers were still blooming and there was an abbundance of fruit and vegetables we were allowed to use. This and the absolute silence was overwhelming.The environment of the estate is beautiful and quiet as well. Ghislaine is a very nice host. Present when needed. "

"Perfect for one night to break up our journey back to the ferry. We needed somewhere with secure off road parking as we had bikes on the back of our van. This was ideal as it had a gate that was locked at night and you could park right near your apartment. Beds were very comfortable and nice spacious layout. My boys loved the bonus of the pool. Drawbacks toilet is downstairs separate from the upstairs bathroom and there isn’t an oven in the kitchen area."
