  • Primrose Bank is a contemporary glass fronted lakeside home set in a 550 acre beautiful Nature Reserve. It has excellent onsite facilities & activities, with luxury spa access, swimming pools, watersports, bike hire, tennis, restaurant, bar & pizza shack.

    Sleeping up to 7 in 4x bedrooms, 2 bathrooms & balcony area. 1x master double ensuite, 1x double, 1x twin/double, 1 x single bedroom. The open plan living area leads to furnished enclosed balcony area, seating, BBQ & lakeside grassy area.

    • 550 acres of private Nature Reserve, including seven Lakes & three Rivers
    • Excellent Water Sports - Paddle boarding, kayak, canoe & rowing boats
    • Somerford Lagoon can only be used for non-powered water sports between the 1st of April and the 30th of September
    • In order to minimise disturbance to overwintering wildfowl, the footpaths to the Southern and Eastern edge of Somerford Lagoon are not accessible from the 1st of October to the 31st of March
    • Spinney Lake is available for non-powered water sports all year.

Spacious Lakeside Retreat with Stunning Views and Excellent Facilities

We had a wonderful stay in this delightful cottage overlooking the lake, with passing wildlife, plenty of sunshine, and beautiful views. Both balcony bedrooms shared the same outlook, making the mornings especially memorable. The house is very comfortable for up to 7 guests, with a large open-plan living area featuring a balcony, log fire, TV, big kitchen table, and a well-equipped kitchen. There was ample seating throughout, though the sofas didn’t quite accommodate all 7 at once. Onsite facilities were excellent, including a great restaurant, spa, swimming pools, tennis courts, water sports, and children’s activities. Offsite, there are scenic walks along the Thames Path and easy access to pubs and sightseeing, with Cirencester close by for Roman remains, museums, shopping, and dining. Communication with the booking team was very good—comprehensive, if at times a little overwhelming due to the volume of information. We had no major issues during our stay and only reported a few very minor points to the helpful onsite maintenance team. Overall, a spacious, well-located property that makes for a relaxing and activity-filled break.
