Claremorris is a good base for touring this part of Ireland. Cong - Ashfotd and the Quiet Man film area, Knock shrine, Castlebar, Ballina and Galway.

The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Everything about this castle was impressive. Our room was roomy and very clean with numerous amenities. Lovely property, nicely secluded. Comfortable, cosy cottage with modern conveniences (WiFi, television, microwave). Such a beautiful cosy home with heated floors and a fire! The surroundings were beautiful, not to mention the friendliest cats ever and two gorgeous ponies. Seán (the host) was so lovely and speaks beautiful Irish too. Would absolutely recommend to anyone from a few friends to a full family trip. ...
