"I appreciated that the property is gated and guarded 24/7, and the check-in process was very fast. The location is perfect, being situated directly behind Ocho Rios beach and across from Island Village and Main Street. I also enjoyed the pool, which was clean and never crowded. Staying here allowed me to connect with the local culture and meet some wonderful people.
However, there were a few issues with the room. The microwave did not work and the AC did not get cold. While we made it work using the ceiling fans and balcony doors, these are areas that need attention. Please also note that as an older resort, the lack of elevators, in-room phones, and fitness amenities may be a consideration for other guests.
The front desk staff was always available and helpful. I believe Fisherman's Point Resort could be a 10/10 experience with some upgrades to the facilities and appliances."
