The natural process of weathering formed the arch over millions of years. The park is approximately 2,300 acres (9 km2) of which approximately 1,200 acres (5 km2) is dedicated by the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves as a nature preserve. #Nature

You first walk across the top of the arch, it is so big that you are halfway across before you notice your not just on a narrow rock path. then you circle around to be under the arch.

We booked here for our family Christmas. It was decorated beautifully. We had plenty of room for all our activities. Our host replied promptly to all messages. Loved our stay! The kids especially enjoyed exploring the creek, playing soccer, and the game table. The kitchen included a full supply of dishes/equipment and the property itself was clean and well maintained. Close to major attractions near the gorge.
