"Started out disappointed as rented the ENTIRE property. This is not the case - you have shared kitchen with CCTV. Finished disappointed as accused of having child and making a racket. They forgot to check when we left and CCTV cameras - we weren’t even there. As for room - when we arrived heating was not going - they promptly got to fix issue. Room was lovely but hair on bed and floor - not ours! Location is very central- so good "

"I booked this for a family trip but then was unable to come myself but my husband and son found the property very comfortable, clean and well equipped. The host was communicative and kind and stayed in touch before during and after the stay. Overall a fantastic experience and would recommend to others considering a stay here."

"Rose Cottage has everything to make a few days away a comfortable step off the wheel. On a strangely warm November weekend, we nevertheless used the wood burning stove which added to the charm. Within one minute's walk, the Post office and (separately) the Village Stores were wonderfully stocked and open on Sunday to help. "Place was clean, beds were comfortable, check in and check out were very easy. There were 5 of us staying there. Ages 54-84I big bedroom in the main floor and 3 other upstairs with the bathroom. Parking was great as well. "

"The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean, and the air conditioning was great. The shower had great temperature and water pressure. The breakfast buffet was also very good and had many options for food / beverages. The location was very close to the train station, and about a 15 minute walk from city centre. Would definitely stay here again. "

Best Breakfast and Service

"We had a really good stay at this hotel, the breakfast was one of the best we've had, the best selection and very tasty. The evening meal was also beautiful, can't fault any of the food. Family room was large and huge bed, but disappointed in the lack of air conditioning and the shower quality. It was a bit disappointing hearing one of the waitresses at the breakfast entrance talk to the younger staff in a very rude manner. Bit of a chip on her shoulder as all the staff who we seen cleared the plates quickly and refreshed all the food in good time. Probably the best service I've seen at breakfast. Only other small gripe was the child's pool times, extremely restricted, so please check this if your going with children and have a busy schedule. We would certainly return to the hotel."
