We stayed in a teepee which also included access to a personal RV for bathroom, shower, kitchen, electricity, etc. You can tell the owners put in great attention to detail and amenities to make this a unique and exciting experience. It ended up being very windy the night we stayed, sustained north winds of over 25 mph. Although we could have moved to the RV for a quieter more comfortable night of sleep, where would the fun be in that? We were so happy to have stayed in the teepee, wind and all, as we now have an unforgettable life experience to remember Nomad Landing and Clayton, New Mexico.

We couldn't believe how spacious this apartment was! Kristi, the manager, communicated with us before and during our stay, and even had a welcome basket with goodies waiting for us in the kitchen. Our unit had a great living room, full kitchen, bedroom with two big beds, and pull-out sofa. And TWO full bathrooms. After a long day of hiking, it was just perfect for the three of us. We fully recommend High Plains Lodge!

I liked the property location, just a couple blocks from downtown but it feels like you are out in the country. Then you open your door to a clean, beautiful suite with a living room, kitchen, bedroom and two bathrooms! The walk-in shower was the best I've encountered in my travels! I highly recommend this hidden gem!

What an awesome experience! I stayed in the teepee, which was unique and very comfy! And a high quality teepee that even kept a surprise rain from entering my sleeping area. It was a big help to have a nearby trailer to tend to my personal needs (bathroom, shower, and a fridge for food/beverage storage). The staff were very friendly and accommodating - from the moment I made the reservation. I hope to make it back for another awesome stay!

Room was great, very clean. Right by the main highway so we heard the trucks go by but not bad. Very disappointed with the grounds in general. When using your site to book the grounds look like we were going to be able to set by a fire pit. Just know if you book here their is nothing to do on their grounds. But again the room was very clean and had most any thing you would need to stay and cook for days/

The rooms were nice and well updated. The only issue was the TV’s were app only with a few pre-recorded news channels. For older people like my parents, this was more difficult. The staff did offer to help though wihich was nice. Other than that it was a pleasant stay.
