“We had a fantastic stay and really enjoyed our time at the kingfisher Shepherds hut. If your looking to stay please bare in mind that the hut is very small, there is very limited kitchen supplies, ie no oven, microwave or decent sized freezer. Unfortunately lots of flys got into our hut which we had to sleep with as we had no repellent and no nets were provided. It is a bit of a faff having to heat your own hot tub and sauna, building the fire and keeping it alight for atleast 2hrs is hard work……

Very comfortable and a lovely location with a field opposite to walk our dog. Ideal. The host has thought of all the things to make it a home from home. It's small, but has everything you need for a very enjoyable stay in a beautiful area.”

“I recently visited with my husband and baby for a weekend away. We had a brilliant stay in the Montana log cabin! The place was spotless on arrival and styled beautifully. We particularly loved the outdoor tub, as well as the seating area at the front with gorgeous sunset views. Easy check in and check out process. We had no issues with hot water as there is a gas boiler in this cabin. The only reason for 4 stars was because of basic essentials missing on arrival - no bin bag, hand soap,……

“When we first got there it was a bit mixed up, a nightmare, but that was down yo me. The lady was very understanding and helpful, it was as if nothing was yo much trouble, friendly staff. Very clean, hot tub was amazing. Thankyou, only one little complaint, the guy that was going round cleaning the hot tub. Was a bit rude and not very friendly, when clearly we was going on the hot tub, we were just getting changed, and he came along, put a hose in, my partner went out to say that we were going……

The location is very peaceful. We were very lucky on our arrival day that the weather was amazing and we had a lovely time sitting in the pretty, tranquil garden watching birds and butterflies and then listening to an owl once it went dark. "This was my second time staying at this dog-friendly hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent. The hotel originally had two EV charging points, but unfortunately one of them was out of service during my stay."
