Beautiful reconstruction of old property. Very helpful staff. Enjoyed the different layout of the room and the historical artwork / artifacts. Affordable, comfortable and pleasant place to stay.
The staff we pleasant and parking easy.
The room was facing the lake which gave us a view of the marina and the lighthouse in the distance. Having a restaurant on site is wonderful for weary travelers.
We called earlier in the week for an early check-in because we were in town for a wedding. They were friendly and accommodating. Beautiful hotel and I will be back.
Great location. Very friendly staff. Fantastic view from our corner room.
We had dinner on the rooftop and it was a great experience. The waitress was so nice and competent, handling a big party and the rest of the diners by herself. She did a fantastic job.
Nice place even if it’s an odd building repurposed for this hotel. Lots of potential charm and good location. Rooms were fine, bar is really nice and pool was refreshing. Wish they had a jacuzzi
Our first hotel was not clean and so we didn't stay. This one was very accommodating and the staff were awesome! The coffee in the morning is really good!
This was our second time staying at this property this summer. The king sized bed room is nice (local old photographs are a nice touch) and clean. It’s within walking distance of some fun shops and nearby family. The historic building is unique (showing some signs of wear) and gift shop is worth stopping in. We plan to return when visiting family again.
This hotel is charming. Our room was clean and staff were very helpful. As a bonus, the hotel is within 900 feet of a world class cocktail bar, Speak of the Devil. I most highly recommend the Ariel Broadway.
We enjoyed staying in a renovated historical hotel. We loved the historical photos through out the hotel. Broadway street was fun and the local cafe Fresco Bistro which was excellent and was in walking distance of the hotel. The only limitation was some of the restaurants were closed on Monday and Tuesday.
It's 100 year old hotel. The beds were ok. The service was excellent. Especially the people behind the counter and the restaurant. The food was good. The best part is the Erie shoreline. Downtown Lorain is a little rundown. Of course I couldn't enjoy it because of the Canadian wildfires. All of Ohio was engulfed in smoke. I plan on coming back mostly from the excellent service. They have line dancing downstairs and roof top bands on the weekends.
Beautifully imagined repurposing of an early 20th century office building into a boutique hotel in a prime and convenient location with water views. It was a full capacity weekend when I stayed there, with a wedding taking place at the hotel and other guests booked in for other events in Lorain. I tried to check in early, but was told that no rooms were available and to come back at normal check-in (3PM). At 3 PM, there was a large queue of us but only one person manning the front desk and their check-in process is also a bit tedious (needs improvement, which would help expedite quick guest check-in if staffing is an issue), so it took some time. The bar was closed when I checked in, but looked handsome. Did not have occasion to try the restaurant during my brief visit to Lorain.
