Enjoy your coffee as you stroll the trail listening to the chipmunks and birds awakening to the morning sun. Abundance of wildlife, sites of red fox, elk, deer. Settle in under the Aspen trees, star gaze the night away, and wake to the forest fresh air. The Chippeway Trailhead #247E has several trails to hike or ATV at your disposal in this private setting. There is forest trail requirements posted for CC allowances. Extra Garage lot has firepit, chairs, outdoor kitchen, canopy, BBQ, for outdoor fun. Located approx. 6 miles from Cloudcroft, off Hwy #130, past Sunspot Hwy, the cabin is equipped with High Speed Wifi, electronic Lock Keypad, security cameras; is within minutes to skiing, more hiking, fishing, hunting, shopping, biking, rock climbing, restaurants, and bars. Nature Retreat

A very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Seeing pines outside your window and enjoying the sounds of nature was a pleasant experience. There’s an entrance to some hiking trails just a couple yards from the cabin that you can fully enjoy. Communication with the property manager is excellent.

Pine Trees Paradise

Loved staying at this quaint cabin in the midst of spectacular pine trees and right off a fabulous trail head into the national park. The nights were quiet and peaceful and the accommodations were exactly what we were hoping for on our getaway vacation. Would love to come back!

Loved this property!

The cabin is small and cozy. Made for a perfect weekend getaway. Literally at a great trail for hiking or running. Location to town is great as well. Cannot tell you enough how much we loved this! Host was great, and very accommodating.

Great little cabin!

The cabin was perfect for our quick trip to Cloudcroft.Compact and cozy.The beds are in the loft so just have to be careful with the ladder/steps.Great hiking location and reasonable price.It's a keeper for sure and the host was excellent!

Cozy little cabin

The property was beautiful!! Nice and secluded in the middle of the national forest with a trail nearby. We only stayed for 2 nights but will be back to attend again! Thank you Kelly!

This stay was GREAT!! We had the best time, the cabin was perfect! Definitely would need a 4X4 if it had been snowy or wet, but it was dry when we were there. The cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and a few extras the host threw in that made it extra welcoming. The host was super friendly and very communicative. I definitely recommend a stay here at Peace and Quiet!

Christmas Break Getaway

We absolutely loved our stay at Kelly’s cabin in the woods! Our boys (8 & 6) enjoyed hikes both on the trails behind the cabin and in Cloudcroft. Kelly had so many cute personal touches in the cabin and also provided some welcome gifts and necessities that were very much appreciated after our long journey to the area. I would definitely recommend the cabin to any family wanting to get away and reconnect in nature!

Peaceful forest retreat

This cabin was a perfect escape from the heat! It’s small but had everything we needed for a comfortable 4 night stay. We liked that it was a little ways away from downtown Cloudcroft (about 10 minute scenic drive away). It felt secluded but was still close to trails and shopping.

Great secluded property!

Perfectly getaway spot. It is extremely quiet and secluded. We loved the real cabin feel yet it has all the amenities we could want. An added plus is NO TV! There was very high speed Internet if you need it as well. Will stay again for sure!

Couple’s Getaway

This tiny cabin is the perfect size for two adults. It was clean and cozy. We especially loved the location directly on a secluded hiking trail in the National forest. We appreciated a very responsive host for quick communication!* Please just be sure to realize there is only a ladder to the sleeping space - can’t be helped as that is the layout of this cabin however it does make middle-of-the-night bathroom trips a bit precarious.

Cloudcroft Cabin

Property was clean and well put together, good location with neighbors spaced out on the hill. Communication with host was easy and quick, cabin was enough space for three adults. Access to the shed, table and grill to hang out was a plus. Would recommend!

Great Weekend Getaway!

We booked a last-minute weekend trip to this peaceful cabin and did not regret it one bit! Kelly's cabin was perfect for a cozy and secluded weekend in the mountains. Kitchen was stocked with EVERYTHING you could possibly think of- I was able to make a warm stew in her crockpot for dinner. 10/10 stay, we will be back again!

10/10 Serene Mountain Cabin in the Woods

My girlfriend and I couldn't be happier with our stay in this charming, rustic mountain cabin nestled on a hillside in the gorgeous pine forests of the Sacramento Mountains. The layout and amenities of the cabin were so cozy, and the location was a major plus, providing a plethora of activity options being 10 minutes from Cloudcroft, 45 minutes from Alamogordo/White Sands, an hour from Ruidoso, and a 60 second walk from a fantastic hiking trail- Chippeway Spur. We will definitely be back!
