“When we arrived the doors to both bedrooms were closed. Upon opening the door into the main bedroom there was a disgusting very strong smell. It stayed for our entire 3 night stay but not as distinct as when I first opened the door. Other than that we had a lovely stay. Beds being an elderly couple we found not as comfortable as we would have liked but got better over the 3 night stay. First night woke all the time. Liked the open space & privacy. “We spent Thurs-Mon in Jane and Malcolm’s lovely cottage. The location is incredible and we were blessed with some fantastic weather! The cottage had everything we needed. The sheep and chickens outside are brilliant and our little one had so much fun watching them. Our dog has been on some incredible walks in the woods on the doorstep and at some of the tourist areas nearby. We’ve had such an amazing stay and can’t that Jane enough for being a wonderful host! The Smith’s”

“The property owners were great and made sure our arrival was welcoming with great info and welcome pack. The property is a unique original cottage with hone comforts and incredible view. There are some great walks and lots of activities nearby and a visit to ye older ferrie inn is a must. As with anywhere in this area to get the most you have to prepared to be a bit active and there are a few steps required to get down to the cottage but definitely worthwhile. Recommended for chilled out stay in……

“The main road is noisy until the traffic dies down later on in the evening. The metal framed windows, even when shut, let through a high volume of road traffic noise. It was a period of unusually high temperatures by day and night when we stayed and the room we stayed in was in the loft space and therefore really warm and so the windows had to be kept open most of the time. This is by no means a complaint merely a note for other people who stay in the loft apartment who may not be as comfortable……

“Questionable road quality leads you to a spectacular location. Property looks tired in places with paint flaking, window painted closed and stained toilet bowl along with black grout in places on the tiles around the bath. The kitchen mixer tap is not secure and has a taped note on the wall by way of apology for this. The microwave is on top of a small counter top fridge and was a bit daunting to use (we are not very tall). The fridge is shown in the booking pics but we didn't notice how small……
