The entrance feature, landscaping are well maintained and provide a sense of arrival at the hotel. Our stay was pleasant overall, however, there were items that were not communicated by front desk staff and when these issues were raised, staff attitude was defensive and condescending. We always write objective reviews and only good reviews. This time, my travel partner and I have decided to share our experience with other travellers, so, you are not caught off guard and know what to expect before booking. Our issue is rooted in absence of communication on these items and the attitude from staff and absence of response from management:
-Be prepared to pay a resort fee--it isn't much, but, based on the facilities and lack of service, this hotel should not be considered a resort. The spa and outdoor pool were not open, room cleaning needs to be requested, and typical room amenities like a duvet cover, coffee cups, glassware in the bathroom, cottonballs, cotton swabs, robes, etc. are all basic to a resort--not here!
-Your room will not get cleaned nor bed made unless you request it! Room cleaning which is standard for all hotels, however, this is not the case at this 'resort'. This is the first time in my travels where room cleaning is not standard. There was no sign communicating this nor were we advised by front desk...not a nice surprise!
We would not recommend this property if you are expecting even basic hotel service. There are other options in the area!
